CONTRAST FROM OLD TO NEW purpose: Work with Peruvian architecture exchange student to develop landscape plan for purposed architecture structures goal:
To connect the three Ecolodges with the hacienda while carrying out themes of water, vegetation, and rocks to match those of each lodge
Water Eco Lodges
This project gave me the opportunity to not only work one on one with an architecture student and combine ideas but also allowed for an exposure to international calaboration, not only thru working with my partner but also working in the Peruvian region. The above images, created in Sketchup then rendered in Photoshop, where created by my partner Claudia Alpaca. The images show her concepts for the, from top to bottom, vegetation, rock, and water eco lodges.

Initial design work was done by hand to provide base drawings for ideas. Once ideas were locked in my partner and I decided to use all computer graphics. The two sections were created using AutoCAD then rendered in Photosho using photomanipulation to add in foreground trees, water, and rocks along with background images of distant mountain views from the area. For the perspectives, a quick Sketchup model was created to get base for vertical elements then taken into Photoshope for same photomanipulation techniques to complete vision for the areas.

Inventory Analysis
From the beginning of the project my partner and I decided to use only computer graphics throughout. This allowed the two of us to use Illustrator, as seen in the two analysis items I created above, Photoshop for rendering purposes like the master plan to the right, along with AutoCAD and Google Sketchup. A major part of my job in this project, along with some conceptual design, was the rendering of all the pieces created in both AutoCAD and Sketchup.
MASTER PLAN Conceptual design by both James Hazzard and myself. AutoCAD line work and rendering completed by me and outlying Sketchup buildings by James Hazzzard
For both the great lawn and signature field sections, James created line work in AutoCAD them passed on to me for rendering in Photoshop
EVENT LAWN
SIGNATURE FIELD
James and I wanted unique way to show elements of our design when initially listing our objectives. I created this item in Photoshop of our elements in plan view applying a single color to just setup the solutions.
DRAINAGE To show a cross section of our improved drainage, James created the line work in AutoCAD and I rendered it in Photoshop
SITE ITEMS
GRAVELPAVE GREEN PARKING
I created sketch up models of our Gravelpave parking system then passed along to James for rendering with the Podium plugin.

bio:
WHO IS LANCE? hometown: CHICKASHA, OK when: APRIL 27, 1985
Originally from small town of Alex, OK, population 556, but moved to Chickasha, population 16,210, during my 8th grade year where I graduated in 2004. Active involvement the FFA lead me to Oklahoma State University to first pursue a degree in Agricultural Communications after a change in heart from that of Landscape Architecture. My interest in graphic design and photography guided me in my journey to completing my first degree in 2008, but after graduation and working for two years my interest in Landscape Architecture was still in the back of my mind. That interest lead me back to Oklahoma State for a second time, and to where I am now in my fourth year as a Landscape Architecture student getting more and more excited about what is to come.
