Lander’s Honors College offers those with strong academic records the opportunity to study in a community of bright, engaged students, with access to small-group seminars and breakaway experiences that promote active learning and deep reflection. Destination: Success Earning your degree is just the beginning. Serving freshmen to alumni, the Office of Career Services and Student Employment is focused on your opportunities outside of the classroom and beyond graduation. First, they help you prepare for the workforce by identifying on-campus employment and/or internship opportunities. Then, they will help you navigate through the job search, providing one-on-one advice and guidance as you prepare to launch your career. With valuable connections within the workforce and with industry professionals, our staff is dedicated to assisting you in achieving your career or graduate school goals. With more than 60 recruiters and graduate school representatives on campus each year, our team works diligently to ensure you have ample opportunity to engage and connect with local, state and regional recruiters.

This is Bearcat Country. Lander’s varsity sports are highly competitive in the Peach Belt Conference and NCAA Division II – and many are continually ranked in the top 25 in the country. Our athletic facilities are unsurpassed, with modern stadiums for baseball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and softball at the 28-acre May Sports Complex; and the 2,500-seat Horne Arena for basketball and volleyball play. Saturday Open Houses – Fall & Spring: Open House is the perfect opportunity to explore Lander’s academic departments and meet with housing, financial aid, academic support, athletics, student life, admissions and other areas. You’ll enjoy a walking tour of campus and you can even grab lunch in our dining hall.

Weekday Visits: Tailored to your academic needs, weekday visits include a walking tour of campus and an information session with an admissions counselor. Meet campus representatives and have lunch in our dining hall, upon request.

Bearcat for a Day: Sit in on a class, meet our students, eat lunch in the dining hall and tour campus – these unique visits are held on select Wednesdays throughout the year and provide a real taste of life at Lander.
