We have engaged Land Insights to undertake strategic land use planning studies for the Myalup-Binningup area and the Preston Industrial Park. Land Insights founder and director Michael Taylforth is the founder and principal of Land Insights. Michael’s solid and well-respected reputation in the planning and development industry has led him to work on major projects in Western Australia. His extensive work in strategic planning, environmental planning/ science, statutory planning and subdivision has seen him work alongside various shires, councils, governments and private clients on projects stretching from structure plans and development applications to coastal management plans and large planning strategies. Michael is qualified in both Environmental Science and in Town Planning. He built Land Insights around delivering a fresh approach and strategic thinking to clients in the public sector.
Consultant Network Land Insights has a network of quality consultants who are called on depending on the needs of a project to bring new perspectives. Our network includes engineers, demographers, heritage advisors, economists and more. Our select group of consultants work seamlessly into the Land Insights team to ensure projects are always delivered efficiently. I engaged Michael Taylforth to prepare the environmental and strategic planning assessment and Rural Concept Planning for a significant local Town Planning Scheme Amendment for Stakehill Swamp, south of Perth. We chose Michael because of his previous excellent work with the Rockingham Council and community as part of the Rockingham Rural Wedge Study (examining the potential for urban land use within rural areas of the Local Government.) As a result of having Michael Taylforth on board, the Stakehill Swamp study was able to progress in a timely and professional manner and most importantly for this area, Michael was able to effectively and constructively liaise with the community to determine their issues and concerns.
