We welcome our seventh Boeing 737 aircraft

RwandAir’s fleet expansion continues with the delivery of our seventh Boeing 737-800. The new aircraft features 12 business class seats and 144 in economy and will be based at RwandAir’s hub, Kigali International Airport.

The Boeing 737-800, registered 9XR-WY, will operate throughout Africa and the Middle East, allowing RwandAir to further expand its regional operations and offer customers unrivalled connectivity and quick transfers through Kigali.

RwandAir CEO Yvonne Makolo said: “The introduction of our seventh Boeing aircraft is another major milestone for us, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped make this possible. We have been expanding our fleet over the past year and look forward to accelerating this growth to offer customers even better service and connectivity across Africa and beyond.”

The new Boeing is latest addition to RwandAir’s now 14-strong fleet, comprising three A330s, seven B737 and four regional aircraft.
