A remodel of a home in San Fransisco

Project brief: Remodel of San Francisco home for a family of four. Threestory historical house.

Challenges: First full semester of zoom, previously only a couple of weeks of instructions on the software I used.

Learned: Teaching myself a lot of Revit, Auto CAD, InDesign, and the design process.

Project brief: Redesign of a community collective. Involving a education, retail, food programming.

Challenges: Learning how to create curved roof with curved beams and trusses in Revit.

Learned: How to use massing in Revit to create unique roof structure as built in existing project.

Work Place

10,000 square foot office for a robotics company in Boston

Project brief: Designing an office for NEXT, a robotics company. Comprised of 42 employees.

Challenges: Doing the project completely on my own, thus requiring skill development in all necessary softwares.

Learned: How to render floor plans, more Photoshop tricks. Using twin Motion for the first time. Worked with Procreate.

2 No private offices, which eliminates leadership hierarchy, promoting equity

This furniture arrangement can be easily moved to increase opportunities for employee engagement, which has been proven to attract and retain talent, also supports power of choice

4 Acoustics and layout create an open space easy for coworkers passing by to start a conversation

5 The area is open, but offers individual desks for a mix of private and public, through the privacy panels or desks pushed together

Lockers and shelves adjacent to entrance for easy access to personal belongings when arriving for departing Bathroom fixtures take into consideration child size ergonomics and accessible inside classroom. Sink in the interior and exterior for easy cleanup

Room is equip with power connectivity. Audio/visual devices are limited to promote a screen free experience

For privacy and security considerations, the room has one main entrance with a check-in desk/employee positioned to see anyone that comes in. There is a restroom inside the daycare so kids do not have to leave the daycare into a public area to use the restroom

Historic Preservation

Baptist Church rehabilitation to Children’s Museum

Project brief: Rehabilitating the First Baptist Church on Monroe Phoenix to the second Children’s Museum of Phoenix

Challenges: Preserving the original design and materials while transforming the building to serve a completely different purpose.

Learned: Spend a lot of time using InDesign. Research skills were utilized.
