LANES WINS LINCOLNSHIRE HOMES DRAIN MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS
North Lincolnshire’s biggest housing provider has awarded contracts to Lanes Group plc to provide drain maintenance services for thousands of homes across its entire estate.
Ongo Homes has selected Lanes to deliver planned and reactive drainage maintenance services for nearly 10,000 homes in North Lincolnshire and surrounding areas, including Scunthorpe and Doncaster.
Lanes has been appointed as the primary service provider for planned repairs and the second provider for reactive drainage services, delivered by teams from the company’s Sheffield depot.
Richard Leigh, Lanes Group Development Director, said: “We’re very pleased to have been selected by Ongo Homes to maintain drainage systems to a high standard for tenants, businesses and private customers. We’re looking forward to working with the association to deliver planned services that ensure drainage systems are maintained to a high standard to minimise the risk of blockages and other service problems.”
Both contracts run for two years. Ongo Homes also has the option to extend each contract twice, each time for one year.
Tony Bramhall, Lanes Sheffield Depot Manager, said: “Our drainage teams are trained to a very high standard and we use the very best sewer maintenance techniques and equipment. We’re raring to get started, supporting Ongo Homes in maintaining its drainage infrastructure so its tenants can continue to enjoy living in quality homes in safe and successful communities.”
Russ Edwards, Operations Manager at Ongo said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Lanes on this project. As a landlord our main priority is delivering a great service to our customers and working with suppliers we trust.”
The housing association manages homes with social and affordable rents in communities that include Scunthorpe, Barton-Upon-Humber, Kirton in Lindsey and Thorne, as well as Doncaster, Bentley, and Bawtry, in South Yorkshire.
Planned services being provided by Lanes include CCTV drainage surveying, installation of local structural repairs (also known as patch repairs), sewer lining, root cutting, drain re-rounding, manhole rehabilitation, drain and manhole testing, and gutter cleaning.
Ongo Homes is a not-for-profit organisation, designed to give something back to communities. This means that all profit made is reinvested to help build new homes and invest further in community initiatives.
