PREFACE This manual contains the rules and guidelines as they relate to the correct visual portrayal of the Association of Women for Action and Research as a brand. There are guidelines for the official colours, fonts (typefaces), as well as other visual iconography, and how they may be merged into acceptable documents or communications. Please do not use this manual to replicate artwork. Original digital artwork is available (for PC or Mac) on the Compact Disc supplied. Please also note that these pages were printed on a laserprinter and colours are not 100% accurate.

LOGO ARCHITECTURE The corporate signature is our single most important identifier. The corporate signature comprises of the logotype and the descriptor, all which appear in specific proportional arrangements, and spacing and size relationships.

LOGO USAGE Only use official digital artwork. Do not try to reproduce, scan or trace the logo from this manual or any other printed or digital application. The CD supplied, contains all elements for reproduction and print. The logo can appear in three ways: the logotype only, verticle format or horizontal format (as shown on the left). The logo may only be used in the official colours as described in this manual (in full colour or in grey scale). The logo should not appear smaller than the minimum size suggested to ensure visual clarity.(as shown above)

CORPORATE COLOURS The corporate colors are part of our brand identity system. The specified colours must be used at all times and applied correctly for visual continuity and branding.The corporate colors specified in this manual must be used as much as possible in all publicity materials or publications. *Process Colour (CMYK) refer to full colour printing applications. *Pantone Colour refers to colour printing applications. *RGB Colour refers to digital applications.

INCORRECT USAGE OF LOGO The logo must always be applied in its correct forms, colors and sizes as specified in the guideline. Incorrect usage of the logo risks its consistency in appearance. Here are some examples of how the logo should NOT be used.

White is the ideal background colour. When black is used as background colour, the negative version of logo should be used. (ONLY exception when the colour of the logo is allowed to change) If a colour that is neither white or black is used as background colour, it is recommended to create a white box around the logo to ensure visual clarity.

BANNERS & POSTERS This page contains instructions on how the banners or posters should be designed in a way which is consistent with the corporate identity. Format of the banner or poster can be veritical or horizontal. However, in order to ensure a consistent corporate identity, the main colour of the banner or poster should only be from the offical corporate colours. The logo should always appear at the bottom right hand corner. Horizontal or Vertical logo relationships can be used. Try to avoid overlaying logo on photographs as it may interfere with the visual clartity of the logo or the logotype.
