Ireland

What to do while your there

Tour the Castles Haunted, gothic, stately, or imposing – Irish castles radiate the heart & soul of this beautiful country. Cahir, Kilkenny and Dunguaire Castles all evoke visions of medieval times. Blarney Castle is one of the most visited castles, and is famous for the Blarney Stone – where legend states that if you kiss the Blarney Stone, you’ll receive the gift of eternal gab. Additionally, this 15th century castle offers battlement views, vibrant gardens and mysterious underground caves.

Experience Pub Culture If you fancy a pint, witty conversation and a taste of authentic Irish hospitality, be sure to check out one (or more!) of the many local Irish pubs. Visitors rave about the ‘pub experience’ and for good reason. Ireland’s pubs have a reputation for delicious stouts and lagers. Many pubs feature live music – both traditional and modern – as well as hearty fare such as beef and guinness pie. Some pubs are even taking their menu offerings to new culinary heights, providing guests with fine dining options to pair with their beloved pints.

The Ring of Kerry The Ring of Kerry is a circular drive in County Kerry that’s roughly 111 miles long. Located in the southwest corner of Ireland, the drive boasts incredible views from start to finish, with alluring attractions to see and visit along the way. You will witness sights including castles, historic mansions, forts, cathedrals, abbeys, and more scenic landscapes than most will see in their lifetime. Intrepid travelers enjoy a hike along “Kerry Way” which is a walking path encircling the Ring of Kerry, though slightly longer in size. If you have the time and stamina to walk the path, do it. It’s breathtaking countryside from start to finish.

This rugged landscape, coupled with a gorgeous view of the rolling hills of Irish countryside, will leave an indelible moment in your memory for years to come.
