How To Buy Football Boots For Kids

Due to the popularity of youth football, there are many types of football boots that you can buy for your child. Although, it's tricky to buy the right boot for your kid, it can be done with the right guidance.

Types of kids' football boots There are four main types of football boots for kids: metal, moulded, blades, and Astro-turf. The different boots are differentiated by the type of studs that they have. Metal boots have metal studs that can be easily interchanged at the bottom of the sole. In most of the cases the studs are six in number and are quite long. If you need to change them you need to use a stud key. These boots are ideal for wetter surfaces.

Moulded stud boots are a popular alternative to metal studs. The studs in these boots are made from rubber and are a little bit smaller in length. There are many studs on the boot which ensure that you are comfortable. If planning of buying these boots, you should remember that they are ideal for harder and dryer surfaces. The good side is that you can change the studs in order to suit the condition that your kid wants to play on.

Blade boots have the most recent types of studs. The studs are usually moulded to the boot and they can't be changeable. To ensure that you are comfortable, the studs are longer in width. Blades are ideal for harder pitches; however, they can also be used on softer ground. The good side with these boots is that they play a major role in minimizing ankle injuries especially when playing on firmer surfaces. Astro Turf boots have the features of normal football boots, but lack studs. To provide traction they have ridges on the bottom. These boots are ideal for flat surfaces.

Factors to consider when buying kids' football boots There are a number of factors that you need to consider when buying the boots. One of the factors is budget. If your child isn't a regular player, there is no point of buying an expensive boot. Another factor you need to consider is the size of the boot. While you might be tempted to buy a boot that is big so that your child can grow into, it's unwise to do so as a big boot will not fit your child thus he/she will have a difficult time playing.
