With just two healthy guards and eight players overall available after losing Wesley Johnson and Dwight Buycks (not re-signed) to injury the night before, L.A. D-Fenders DLeague call-up Vander Blue made it to Sacramento just in time to play 26 valuable minutes for the depleted Lakers. In his Laker debut (fourth game of NBA experience overall), Blue scored seven points and had two rebounds and two steals, helping to alleviate the pressure from rookies Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown, who both played career-high minute totals (47:11 and 46:17, respectively). In addition to playing a career-high minutes, Clarkson also had five steals, accounting for the most in his 59-game career, in addition to a team-leading 23 points with six assists and five rebounds. Clarkson became just the fourth player (L. James, R. Westbrook, M. Carter-Williams) to achieve 25p/6a/5r/5s in a game this season, and the only Laker other than Kobe Bryant to do so in the last decade. Brown also had a career day with his best assist tally as an NBA player (seven), and also scored 18 points. Ed Davis (14) and Carlos Boozer (10) led the rebounding effort from the bench, as L.A. outrebounded Sacramento by eight. Nine of Davis’ rebounds were on the offensive glass, tying a career mark set earlier this season, and as a result, Los Angeles held a +10 advantage in second chance points (16 to six). With seven players missing the game due to injury, it ran the season total to 331 games missed due to injury. Playing without DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay, the Kings were led by 26 points, nine rebounds, and six assists from Omri Casspi, and a season-high 20 points off the bench from Derrick Williams.

LAKERS LATEST EDVANCED STATS Ed Davis stacks up favorably in many of the NBA’s advanced metrics:  In traditional ranks, Davis is 11th in the NBA in offensive rebounds this season with 226. o Davis tied a career-high with nine offensive rebounds 4/13 at SAC.

Community as part of the Trees for Threes initiative. Keep track of the current number of threes scored at Lakers.com/TreesForThrees and stay tuned for the final tree count on Lakers Eco Night, March 22nd.

BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS Lakers center Jordan Hill, who lost his mother, Carol, to breast cancer at the age of three, purchased tickets and invited 40 breast cancer survivors to the October 31st game against the Clippers. Hill partners with the Susan G. Komen L.A. Chapter to identify women to invite, and also has his own race team, Team Hill, that participates every March in the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure event at Dodger Stadium.
