ABOUT MYSELF I am an international student from Naples, Italy currently based in Miami, FL. Growing up I have been fortunate enough to to be able to visit and live in many distinct places around the world. Having been raised in Italy and Costa Rica I have developed a deep appreciation for both the natural and built environments. Growing up in Costa Rica, one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, further inspired me to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture. My ambition as a deisgner is to create spaces and natural environments that will alleviate the stresses of climate change to which our Earth is currently exposed to. In addition, I aspire to create spaces that will educate and inspire others to be more aware about vulnerable and threatened landscapes. This portfolio consists of works from my graduate years as a Landscape Architecture Master’s candidate at at Florida International University. Thank you for taking the time to view my work.

Overview- Lessons of the Landscape The project focuses on two schools in Fort Lauderdale; Meadowbrook Elementary and Dillard High School. The proposal challenges today’s notion of what schools should look like, focusing on the importance of providing school children with more time outdoors. Outdoor classrooms create interactive spaces for students to interact with the natural environment while also understanding how it works and the impact it has on their every day lives. Thus, the school site itself is curriculum. Overall the project creates a protoype of what schools should look like and aims to green schools for the survival of the planet, as well as for students’ health. Overview- Elevate Miami
Elevate Miami is an alternative masterplan that re-envisions Government Center as a downtown capital that uses the concept of elevation as a physical and conceptual means of addressing the social and environmental vulnerabilities of the site. The project answers the challenges posed by the site’s flood prone, flat topography and navigates the constraints of Miami’s dense transmodal transportation infrastructure with a series of three elevated plaza “hills” that are connected by an urban spine that forms an unobstructed pedestrian corridor throughout the site. The “hills” are all distinct yet underpinned by the concept of providing elevated experiences that lead to a sense of exploration, integration, and vibrancy. The connective armature of the skywalk anchors the hills, and links the arrival experience to downtown Miami through to the new accesses TECH HUB BUILDING TYPOLOGY

Overview- Agripolis
Repurposing the Toledo warehouse district as an urban agricultural hub, where agriculture is the key source to promoting the revival of underutilized buildings + areas throughout the district. Urban Agriculture ties in with commercial, retail and residential spaces by utilizing unique techniques. Vertical farming, hydroponics, aquaponics, organic farming, and pocket parks are used to create a healthier, greener and safer community to work + live. Through agricultural urbanism the warehouse district will develop a new identity in which the local community will incorporate greener practices through various programs. This will result in the generation of employment, research opportunities, community outreach, lower crime rates, and the education of ecological practices.

Overview-The Transcendent Watershed The Transcendent Watershed is a proposed Florida International University Modesto Maidique Campus master plan for storm water management. Considering the existing Perkins + Will master plan, projected campus growth, and thorough regional and community analysis, we propose a 4 step design manual for storm water managers to redesign our communities for resilience and prosperity in the face of our unique storm water dynamics in South Florida. The four steps in this design manual for storm water management are 1. Direct It, 2. Clean It, 3. Use it, and 4. Experience It. While shown as an example in this large university campus scale, these principles may be applied at any scale from the single family home to the region. By shifting away from exclusively environmental engineering-oriented strategies to a more holistic web of ecological, urban, and engineered solutions, we enter into the realm of landscape urbanism and use our landscape to serve the public as the water is returned to the surface and brought back into public experience.

Overview- Expedition Park Expedition Park is a proposal for the expansion of Sunset Park which currently only ecompasses the West end of the site. The main objectives of the proposal include that of improving connectivity, softening the boundaries between the site and its context and finally establishing new habitats. The site is divided into three main areas based on the experience that is perceived: interact, explore, relax. These different experiences are conveyed through program, sensory stimulation and strategic placement in relation to their surrounding context. The plant palette also significantly varies throughout the site with dense and sparse vegetation based on the experience trying to be achieved.

Pompano Beach has long planned to redevelop the innovation district area, between I-95 on the west, Dixie Highway to the east, Atlantic Boulevard to the south and MLK Boulevard to the north. This proposal envisions a working urban landscape that combines innovation with productivity in order to support current residents as well as incentivize tourism and investment in the area. The masterplan is divided in four main zones each relating to their immediate context: production area, living community, commercial zone and cultural district. MASTER PLAN
