SEASON 2014
“MY BEST FISHING TRIP, EVER!” Bart Bonime, Patagonia Clothing Co. Fishing Department Director and experienced travel fisherman.
Las Pampas Style We have so many fishing options at Las Pampas Lodge, it's almost not fair with other areas and lodges.
Miles and miles of the Rio Pico and its tributaries, same as surrounding trophy lakes, run very close to the lodge property. In addition, anglers have private access to numerous secret spring-creeks. Take a time and check our new brochure with amazing photos from Bryan Gregson and all the news on the “Las Pampas Style program, fishing, lodging, rates, bookings and extras for 2014.
“Las Pampas Style” Fly Fishing Program If you are crazy for wild trout fishing, you know that this part of Patagonia is pretty hard to beat. For Season 2014, we have worked our brains out and added more than 10 new fisheries to our program in the Rio Pico region and 2 great fisheries in Lago Verde, Chile, right after crossing the border. Being the first outfitters of the area to offer fishing at both sides of the Andes, in the same trip! And we are obsessed with what we call the “Rio Pico Grand Slam”: catching a trophy Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout in the same week!!! Because of the fishing diversity we have at a short distance (the longest drive is an hour from the lodge), anglers get to fish different size waters and techniques in a same trip. All
of you know, what is the “star” of our program: the Dry Fly Fishing. But using killer dry-droppers, nymphs and streamers specially selected and provided by our guides, when fish are not rising, makes everybody happy to be able to use their favorite flies and techniques. The lodge's full-time, on-staff guides and assistance are professional, patient, and personable, speak great English and they know these waters in and out. Whether you're a beginner looking for instruction, or an expert in search of the next challenge, they're here to help make it happen.
Lodging At Las Pampas Lodge, we know that there's more to a fishing trip than just the fishing.
Season after season we improve our service in the lodge and out of it. We always double in number our guests with our lodge staff. This ends up in the most personable and dedicated service. Intimate, as a lodge with only four bedrooms (with private bathrooms and a spectacular view of the Cerro Desnudo) in the middle of the wilderness, can be. People just leave back home not knowing what was best: the fishing, the food, the showers, the beds or the drinks in the kitchen!!! So, each morning, you'll be awakened at

Gratuity Guidelines Many of our guests have questions about the proper procedure for tipping at Las Pampas Lodge. Please use the following as a guideline for what you feel is appropriate. We employ a tip pool that’s shared by the entire lodge staff because everyone here plays a critical role in ensuring your experience is positive. Most of our guests choose to put 10% of their total bill toward this tip pool, which can be included in the final bill upon checkout. Additionally, fishing guides receive an average of $100 per day for each guided trip (1 or 2 anglers), and the guides prefer cash or personal check. You can tip your guide at the end of the day, or the end of your stay – whatever’s most convenient for you. And remember, these are simply guidelines, and you should tip what you feel is appropriate. And please let us know if there’s anything special that we can do to enhance your stay.
