SEASON IN REVIEW LA Tech Makes History Louisiana Tech is coming off of a historic season as the team earned its highest ranking in program history as the Lady Techsters were ranked fifth in the National Tenpin Coaches Association February Poll. Tech made its first national championship appearances at both the 2021 National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship and the Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITC). At the NCAA Tournament, the Lady Techsters registered the first perfect Baker game in program history after bowling a 300. LA Tech competed in 14 events and placed in the top-five at nine tournaments during the 2020-21 season. Tech finished second at four tournaments, including the Southland Conference Championships. Senior Kaitlyn Eder and sophomore Allie Leiendecker were named to the 2021 All-Southland Bowling League Third Team. Leiendecker was also named a NTCA All-American honorable mention.
Leiendecker Named NTCA All-American Honorable Mention Louisiana Tech sophomore bowler Allie Leiendecker was named a NTCA All-American honorable mention. Leiendecker is a two-time NTCA All-American after being named a second team All-American as a freshman in the shortened 2019-20 season. Leiendecker, an all-Southland Bowling League third team selection, was named to the all-tournament teams at both the LA Tech Invite and the Southland Bowling League Tournament. The Wooster, Ohio, native acted as Tech's primary anchor bowler during the 2020-21 season where she had a 10th frame average of 19.79, a 10th frame fill percentage of 82.9 and a 10th frame strike percentage of 48.1. Leiendecker led the Lady Techsters with 446 total strikes during the 2020-21 season. During her sophomore campaign, Leiendecker averaged 19.83 pins per frame with an overall fill percentage of 82.5. She had a strike percentage of 48.7 (446-of-916) and a spare conversion percentage of 66.0 (310-of-470). Leiendecker had a single-pin spare conversion percentage of 93.3 (194-of-208) during her sophomore campaign.
