LOUISIANA TECH TENNIS COMPLEX
Situated next to Joe Aillet Stadium and the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex are eight lighted tennis courts that make up the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.
Construction on the facility began in March 2008 and concluded five months later in August. Then on Oct. 15, 2008 as part of the fall schedule, the women’s tennis team played and swept Grambling State in their inaugural match at the new facility. A dedication ceremony took place two weeks later as then Tech President Dr. Dan Reneau officially announced it as the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.

In the early hours of April 25, 2019, an EF3 tornado struck the Louisiana Tech campus and delivered almost complete devastation to the tennis complex. Almost a year later on April 22, 2020, work began on repairing the complex and was completed in late July with the resurfacing of the courts, new fencing and new LED lights.
The Lady Techsters have tallied an all-time spring dual record of 71-28 at their home courts (the 2020 dual season was played at the Ruston Sports Complex). The team has had a winning home record in 11 straight spring seasons, including undefeated home seasons in 2014 and 2017.
The program played a school record 15 home matches during the 2022 spring season, registering a 13-2 record. During the season, they also set a new school record with 12 straight home victories (April 13, 2021March 19, 2022). The record was set on Feb. 28 with a 4-2 victory over Tarleton State.
The LA Tech Tennis Complex has seen the Lady Techsters host its first-ever conference match on April 8, 2010 against Hawai’i. They then notched their first-ever conference win at the facility a few days later on April 10 against San Jose State. Another highlight moment came on April 5, 2016 when they played their first ever home match as a nationally-ranked team (No. 73).
