Bulldog Storylines
• Louisiana Tech closes out its Florida road swing on Saturday when they take on league-leader Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m. CT inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The Owls are the lone conference team the Bulldogs have yet to face this season.
• LA Tech committed a season-tying 23 turnovers and put FIU on the free throw line 28 times, a combination that resulted in a 66-62 loss on Thursday. The Bulldogs were up 30-19, but then suffered a streak of 19 straight missed field goals. Despite the cold shooting, they retook the lead with less than four minutes to go, but the Panthers managed to put the game away at the charity stripe.
• Kaleb Stewart continued his resurgence for the Bulldogs, playing a career-high 31 minutes on Thursday while scoring 13 points off the bench. After seeing very limited action through the first 21 games, he is averaging 29.0 minutes over the last three games while also averaging 13.0 points, knocking down 10 combined three-pointers in the process.
• Cobe Williams has scored 20+ points in five of his last seven games. He continued his streak of games with at least 16 points in Miami, extending that to 14 straight games which is the longest streak of anyone in C-USA this season and tied for the second longest streak of any Bulldog in the last 20 years.
• The offensive side of the ball has been a little bit of a struggle for the Bulldogs as of late. They have only cracked 70 points once in their last five games, a stretch where they shot below 40 percent from the field three times (had only done that twice in the first 19 games).
• With seven conference games remaining, LA Tech is in a tie with Rice for sixth place (just one and a half games back of third). The top five teams will receive a bye in the Conference USA Tournament. The Bulldogs will play the Owls of Florida Atlantic twice over their last seven league contests.
• LA Tech played yet another close game in C-USA play against FIU. Ten of the team’s 13 conference games have been decided by single digits or have gone to overtime this season. The Bulldogs are 4-6 in those games.
A LOUISIANA TECH WIN WOULD...
• Be snap Florida Atlantic’s 15-game home winning streak, which is tied for the third longest in the country. The Owls have yet to be beaten at home this season, going a perfect 14-0.

• Stop the Bulldogs from losing both games of a weekend road swing in conference, something they have not done since 2020.
• Stop Florida Atlantic from winning back-to-back games in the series, something the Owls have not done since the series began in 2014. The Bulldogs have managed to defeat the Owls twice in Boca Raton (2018 and 2019). Six of the last seven meetings have been in either Boca Raton or Frisco, Texas at the C-USA Tournament.
