Louisiana Tech is one of the winningest programs in the history of the game. LA Tech won its 1000th game defeating Nevada 66-59 on March 11, 2011 in the semifinals of the 2011 WAC Tournament in Las Vegas.

Since the program’s inception in 1974, Louisiana Tech has recorded 43 winning seasons (out of 48). The only losing seasons in the history of the program came in 2012-13 (14-17), 2013-14 (12-20), 2015-16 (14-16) and 2018-19 (14-16). Tech posted its first ever .500 season in 2019-20 when the Lady Techsters went 15-15.
Toughest Places to Play
Louisiana Tech is one of the hardest places in the country to play in women’s basketball as the Lady Techsters have won 85.32 percent of their games in Ruston since the program’s inception in 1974, third only to Knoxville, Tenn. and Stanford, Calif. Records are through the end of the 2021-22 season.
