Babybug Ladybug was born in a garden. She was born with a bad wing that made it very hard to fly.

Her family now had too many children and not enough space. They all had to go somewhere with more room. When her family flew to a park across the city, Babybug Ladybug could not follow!

Babybug Ladybug sat crying near a tulip. Ty the Fly, her good friend, flew next to her. “Babybug Ladybug, why are you crying?” Ty asked. “Oh Ty, I cannot fly!” “Here, try mine!” Ty the fly gave Babybug Ladybug his own left wing. Babybug tried to fly with it, but she could not get off the ground. “Thank you, but I think your wing is too small.” Babybug sighed.

Still upset about her wing, Babybug Ladybug crawled to the daffodils in the garden. Lee the Bee stopped working to go comfort Babybug.

“Ms. Ladybug, why are you sobbing?” Lee asked. “I am frustrated because I cannot fly with my bad wing!” Babybug exclaimed. “Here, borrow my wing!” Lee the Bee lent his wing to Babybug, but the wing was too long and she was still unable to fly.

Babybug Ladybug hobbled to the garden’s sunflowers, and pouted. Mayda the Cicada saw Babybug and carefully approached. “I heard you were looking for a wing, would you like to try mine? You deserve to be able to fly.” Mayda told Babybug Ladybug. “Yes please, I’ll try out your wing if you don’t mind” Babybug said, putting on Mayda’s wing.

With a great big stretch, Babybug inched off the ground. “This wing works! I can finally fly!” Babybug shouted, happy and full of joy.

All her friends, bugs, and beetles, came to celebrate and say goodbye as Babybug left to join her family at the park. “Thank you everyone! I will visit soon! Babybug Ladybug promised as she soared up high in the sky.

The next week,Babybug Ladybug came back to visit the garden. She had brought artificial wings for all of her friends because they had helped her by giving up their own wings.

The End!
