Street style below are a selection of images capturing the street style of people on the streets of london. I found a lot of inspiration was found on the streets of London. Streetstyle is highly inspiring because it is a great source of originality and creativity. A lot of my streetstyle models i FOUND LOCATED AT gRADUATE fASHION WEEK. Young students combined wacky fun prints such as fast food and popcorn. ESPECIALLY AROUND BRICK LANE IN SHOREDIITCH, THE ASIAN COMMUNITY WERE UNIQUE IN THEIR FASHION SENSE. A GROUP OF THEM USED ANIMALS AS FASHION ACCESSORIES. The girl on the right had a bird on the top of her hat and used a fish for a bag.
The botanic trend I will focus on for SS16 was found in various place around Graduate fashion week. One universities’ table had a display of terraniums hanging from the ceiling and this was where I started to gather ideas for SS16.
Colour Stories my first colour story reflects the pastel colours i came across during my time trend researching in london. Some of my visits included going to the fashion department store ,liberty’s , in London. It had a lovely archaic feel and I enjoyed lookingat the prints and materials in the fashion department. The outside of the store had a striped Georgian style exterior that reflected my favourite type of architecture.
This is a colour story that focuses on my visit to the Satchi Gallery in January. I enjoyed looking at the textures of the giant plastic bag sculpture and it gave me some ideas for prints. My colour story reflects the rouge, yellow and blue, the somewhat Jamaican colours, that stood out to me during my visit. My favourite feature in the gallery was the 3D tree sculptures and it made me realise that indoor plants and botanics could be key in an upcoming trend for SS16.
This is the third colour story of a collection of portraits from the Saatchi Gallery that inspired me. i loved a collection of portraits that included botanical plants and palm leafs.
