Laura Ju Wang, LEED AP 505 West 37th Street, Apt 2408 New York, NY 10018 Spetember 26, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: I am seeking an Architectural Designer position, with three to five years of professional experience and high proficiency in Revit and Rhinoceros. Upon completion of Masters of Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2013, I plan to pursue further professional development delivering high quality and innovative design solutions. I believe the technical knowledge I have accumulated in more than three years of professional experience, and the creative abilities cultivated throughout my graduate study, together with my passion and dedication for architecture will propel me to become an integral member of the design team. My appreciation for architecture is driven by the integrative quality of design in which one can draw references from diverse fields of study and engages members from various disciplines during the deliberation process. Through rigorous analysis and development, the designer challenges and improves the existing paradigm, while satisfying practical demands. My experience and education equipped me with the precise tools to initiate and execute design projects from the perspective of professionalism, comprehensiveness, innovation and implementation. In order to materialize design ideas, professional execution, technical accuracy, team work and understanding of clients are critical. My experience at Rainforth Grau Architects built a solid foundation of professional and technical knowledge. Notably, involvement with all phases of design enabled me to develop the ability to carry a concept from schematic through construction. The collaboration with design team to provide architectural drawings for state agencies approval gave me the opportunity to be acquainted with standards and code requirements. My expertise in vast forms of computer aided design software allows flexibility and efficiency between platforms (ie. Revit, Rhinoceros, AutoCAD, Maxwell Render, Adobe Suite). Particularly, I had extensive Revit experience in production and coordination on multiple projects during various phases. Serving as design consultant to Dayu Real Estate Development enabled me to understand the Chinese market and established relationships with potential clients. Furthermore, I applied these knowledge accumulated from the professional realm to my academic study, demonstrating the ability to think critically and respond analytically to problems. I believe the success of a project depends on a design process driven by thorough research, in conjunction with rigorous drawing and modeling explorations. My experience and attention to detail empowers the design to achieve balance between innovation and feasibility. These qualities are reflected in my design works, which were featured in publications and exhibitions. My dedication, innovation, creativity and passion were recognized by the facility of Washington University in St. Louis with Hugh Ferriss Architectural Drawing Award and Excellence in Scholarship Award. I will continue to pursue excellence in academic and professional environment, thus contributing to the team with comprehensive skills and enthusiasm for architecture. I appreciate the chance to further discuss about your firm and my design work. My complete portfolio can be viewed at issuu.com/laurajuju/docs/portfolio_2013. Please contact me by email at laurajuju@gmail.com or by phone at 909-9790300, if there are any questions. I am available for Skype or in-person interviews. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely,

Laura Ju Wang, LEED AP Enclosure: Resume, Work Sample
