LOFT
ADVANCED RESIDENTIAL
Produced in Revit
ADAPTED REUSE was used to design this residential space. Located in the four season, city of Chicago. This industrial building is being reproposed into eight floors of urban lofts. My client was a professional chef, male, single living in the city. I designed a simple floor plan the use of the original masonry for expose brick walls to add texture and help as an acoustical barrier from the noise from the busy street outside.
PROMOTES POSITIVE AIR QUALITY. With the use of reproposed materials and fixtures. The herbal wall garden help with the quality of the air in the unit and provides an organic source for cooking herbs. The wood floors are heated to help with the cold winters. The large steel ceiling fans are used to help circulate the air within the loft. Custom designed cabinets became part of the architectural construction of the project and makes for more efficient use of space.
