NotefromtheEditor These last few months have been a period of adjusting and adapting to many new business practices and ways of living. While it has been a difficult time for many, it certainly was another forward step of growth for us as a community. Once again Oklahoma showed it's true root and heart as a whole. We worked together, we consistently lead by example when it comes to supporting each other. Now that's a beautiful thing to be a part of and witness.
I just wanted to say I am truly honored to be able to witness so many amazing people, patients, farmers, officials, and businesses work together to help elevate each other and continue to grow the community forward.
P.S.
Happy Mother 's Day Beautiful Women!

FEDERAL GOVERNM ENT APPROVES " 3 STIM ULUS BILLS" GEARED TOWARD ASSISTING THOSE IM PACTED BY COVID-19. by L.M adison According to the "SBA" Small Business Administration they are no longer accepting new applicants with regards to the Emergency Injury Disaster Relief Loan or Payroll Protection Program. However, there are 3 Federal stimulus bills that were approved for assisting those impacted by COVID-19. H.R. 6074- Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Apprpriations Act. 2020 (P.L. 116-123) (CPRSA) H.R. 748- Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES ACT) H.R. 6201- Families First Coronavirus Response Act (P.L. 116-127) The United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has recently indicated that a fourth stimulus package for small businesses is likely to be passed, which will include additional funding for small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The eligibility for "HEMP-Related" businesses is defined as a "business that grows, produces, processes, distributes, or sells products made from hemp" is ineligible unless the business can
demonstrate that it's business activities and products are legal under federal and state law. Examples of legal hemp products include rope, clothing, medicine, and paper. Unfortunately, cannabis businesses do not share the same protections as hemp at this time, but there is potential relief for marijuana-related businesses. Currently, certain cannabis industry associations such as (INCBA), are pushing congress to limit restrictions and allow marijuana-related businesses the same relief that has been provided to others. In addition, the U.S. House Bill H.R. 3540 is still pending which aims to remove cannabis from the schedule of "controlled substances", which will prohibit the SBA from refusing the funding of "marijuana-related" business. As of May 1, 2020, Oklahoma's Governor Kevin Stitt begins the first phase for reopening businesses in Oklahoma.
GOV. KEVIN STITT BEGINS PHASE ONE FOR REOPENING OKLAHOM A BUSINESSES M AY 1, 2020. As of May 1, 2020 Oklahoma businesses will begin Phase One of Gov. Kevin Stitt's, "methodical phase-in" plan for reopening business in Oklahoma due to the COVID-19 lock down. Stitt along with state health officials will be making data-driven decisions in their process and approach for reopening areas of the Oklahoma economy. These decisions were based on President Donald Trump's plan for a "deliberate and phased approach" for restoration of the nation's economy state by state.
DOPE
Phase One- Beginning May 1, 2020 the following businesses have been approved to reopen: Restaurants, Movie Theaters, Gyms, Sporting Venues, and Churches. (During this phase bars will remain closed)
Oklahoman's should continue to avoid social gatherings that do not adhere to the social distancing recommendations as well as minimize all non-essential traveling. According to state officials, if during this 2 week period medical data remains manageable, Phase Two will go into effect. GROWING OKIE STRONG: FARM ERS FORUM As of May 2020, three OKFB (Oklahoma Farm Bureau) members have been confirmed as board members for development and management over agriculture and conversation in Oklahoma. Gov. Stitt and the Oklahoma State Senate have approved and confirmed, Clay Burtrum, Gary Crawley, and Brent Bolen. We welcome their wealth of knowledge and intent for helping ranchers and Oklahoma agriculture.
CANNABIS COSMETICS The market for cannabis-infused cosmetics is huge and the health benefits are plenty. Hemp & cannabis skin creams, balms, and oils are wonderful. Some of the benefits include reducing inflammation, chronic pain, and maintaining eczema just to name a few.
BUILD AN APP The cannabis & hemp industries are booming right now and quite literally on the ground floor as the market continues to build. The need for software developers who can build innovative applications and platforms for brands and consumers is a good opportunity.

ALOE VERA Aloe vera, according to many is known as one of the world's "wonder plants." Aloe contains over 500 species of flowering succulent plants and can be used diversely as a medicine, in cosmetics, and has been approved by the FDA as flavoring in food. Aloe vera has been used for centuries and has been known as the "plant of immortality."
Scientific studies have proven many medicinal benefits come from the Aloe vera plant including:
1. Antioxidant and antimicrobial properties- A team of researchers at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in Spain, conducted a study to determine whether flowers of Aloe vera and the methanol extract of leaf skins would be beneficial for human health. The focus of this study was on the extract's possible antioxidant and all antimycoplasmic activities. Mycoplasma is a type of bacteria lacking cell walls and are resistant to many antibiotics. The leaf skins from the Aloe vera plant were proven through this study to be a good natural antioxidant source. 2. Teeth and gum health- Aloe vera as a gel in toothpaste has been scientifically proven to help fight cavities, improve gum health, and strengthen enamel. 3. Wounds from second-degree burnsDuring a study reported in The Journal of Pakistan Medicine Association it showed those treated with 1 percent silver sulfadiazine (SSD) healed more rapidly and had less scarring associated with the second-degree burns. 4. Skincare- Aloe vera can be highly beneficial when it comes to caring for your skin and keeping it hydrated and full of moisture. The complex carbohydrates in this succulent universal plant make it highly effective for moisturizing and conditioning the skin.
5. Breast Cancer- Currently, there is a new study that dives into the extracts that can be made from the Aloe vera plant being used as a resource for fighting breast cancer, due to it's succulent properties showing signs for slowling cancer growth.

Due to it's minty like fragrance it is said to pull people into relaxing "ZEN" like states and helps de-stress the mind. Another name for this amazing sacred plant is the "Queen of Herbs." All parts of the plant act as an adaptogen, which is a natural substance that helps the body adapt to stress and promotes strong mental balance. Hemp could be known as the most diverse plant in the world or the "MOTHER" of all plants. The many uses for this sacred plant are countless. Hemp is used to make a variety of industrial and commercial products including paper, clothing, food, shoes, bio-plastics, bio-fuel, insulation, textiles, rope, building materials, and medicine. On an annual basis 1 acre of hemp will produce as much fiber as 2 to 3 acres of cotton. The fiber from hemp is softer and stronger than cotton and does not mildew.
Hemp requires no pesticides/herbicides for cultivation. When it comes to industrial paper production, one acre of hemp will produce as much paper as 2-4 acres of trees. Not only that the quality of hemp paper is far superior to that of paper made from trees. It is a known fact that hemp paper can last hundreds of years without degrading, can be recycled many more times than tree-based paper, and requires less use of toxic materials used for processing and manufacturing.
DID YOU KNOW? The original copy of "The Bible" was printed on hemp paper?
DID YOU KNOW? Thomas Jefferson not only wrote The Declaration of Independence on hemp paper but also grew hemp himself.
The uses for hemp are limitless, Eco-friendly, and necessary for creating a healthier and more sustainable environment.
