Design-build is a collaborative approach to designing and building this project, and with the right team it can be the best project delivery model you have experienced. Trust and open communication is the foundation on which the entire project delivery is built. Throughout the project, there will be workshops, meetings, and daily interaction between the team (including UG staff, design-build engineers, operations staff, and constructors) that ensures you have a voice in the decisions being made and there is full transparency in the development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction. The best solution for UG considers the potential revenue that can be generated from multiple products and sources. Our team will consider the potential revenue that can be generated and operational savings that can be realized: - Importing Westside sludge - RIN credits - FOG receiving - Cleaning and selling gas to the pipeline - Optimized operations Drawing on our experience working with owners and understanding the need of a business case, we can analyze the potential revenue, benefit, and conflicts of each of these components and develop a solution that maximizes the revenue generation capabilities of your improved system.

OPTIMIZE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE Designing and building a functioning system is just the first step in an improvements project. Optimizing the system, which has integrated new components with existing treatment processes, is the point where clients capitalize on the best value their solution can provide. This operational process including training staff to recognize and adjust treatment variances, and it also calibrates the inner workings of each component so together the system is running at it’s greatest efficiency. When this happens, electricity usage goes down, chemical useage is reduced, the final product is consistent, maintenance is reduced, and equipment life is maximized. They are engaged from the beginning of the project to provide input on operational aspects and safety hazards during planning, design, and construction.
