Hello and welcome to GROW London 2016. In the year that celebrates Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown’s 300th anniversary, we’re delighted to host the third edition of our contemporary garden and lifestyle fair. As Lancelot changed the face of 18th century England, influencing so many landscape gardeners and architects, we hope in some small way, GROW London is changing the image of traditional gardening. GROW London brings together the worlds of horticulture, design and good taste – and this year is no exception as we launch two new sections. GROW Living presents a unique collection of designers and craft makers, and GROW Gourmet celebrates the best artisan food and drink. We’re proud to champion Maggie’s this year, a fantastic charity offering free support to anyone affected by cancer. Find out more about their vital work on stand I10.

Thanks are due to our Garden Party Charity Preview sponsor, Martin Miller’s Gin and their bountiful botanical gin bar. Try one of their Gin Summer Serves, with fresh seasonal fruits, or drop in to one of their daily gin cocktail masterclasses. Additional thanks go to our partners and designers, artisans and florists who have worked so hard to put together so much. This includes four inspiring feature gardens, along with Sophie Walker and her conceptual Incidental Garden at the front of the fair – an emerging designer bursting with talent. Whatever you’re here to do, see, buy or take part in, we hope you’ll share our love for design; our passion for the new, rare and quirky; and our energy for doing things in a way that we hope inspires you. Will Ramsay, Fair Founder

Find your way through cancer Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends. Built in the grounds of NHS hospitals, our network of Centres across the UK are warm and welcoming places, with professional staff on hand to offer the support you need to find your way through cancer. Maggie’s Centres are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, and no referral is required. So just pop in. www.maggiescentres.org Proud Charity Partner of GROW London 2016

Every year over 350,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer, facing tough questions, exhausting treatment and difficult emotions. These challenges affect not only the person with cancer, but their family and friends too. As the number of people living with cancer continues to rise, so the demand for support increases, putting pressure on limited NHS resources. Maggie’s offers free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends. Built in the grounds of NHS hospitals, Maggie’s Centres are warm and welcoming places, with qualified professionals on hand to offer a programme of support that has been shown to improve physical and emotional wellbeing. The Centres are renowned for their design and architecture with gardens by leading landscape designers including Dan Pearson, Piet Olduf and Christopher Bradley-Hole. The outdoor areas are carefully considered and contribute to the overall calming environment. Each garden is designed to be a welcoming extension of the inside space, offering uplifting views out from each Centre and a connection to the changing seasons and, in warmer weather, a pleasant place to sit and relax. The first Centre opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and there are now 19 Centres across the UK, online and abroad. The newest Maggie’s Manchester opened in May, designed by Foster + Partners architects and Dan Pearson Landscape Design, and Maggie’s Forth Valley is due to open later this year, bringing the number of Centres to 20 in 20 years. There are also plans for Maggie’s in Southampton, Taunton, London and South East Wales, as well as many more. The aim is to have a Maggie’s Centre at every major NHS cancer hospital in the UK.

Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust (Maggie’s) is a registered charity, No. SC024414
