Vertical Farm Denver, CO This skyscraper responds to the need for making farming more efficient, accessible, and less intrusive to the environment. This building re-envisions the way farming is perceived as a solitary and usually far-away practice, to an integrated community space. Taking all the positive characteristics of farming in a farm like: community engagement, work-living spaces, the social interactions, trade collaboration and shared knowledge and combining it all in one building with new farming technologies, sustainability knowledge and scientist expertise to create the most efficient farming method while engaging its community.

House Compton, AR
This month long project explored the characteristics and sensations of living in the countryside and what has been lost with urbanization. Plenitude and sense fulfillment, are some things that a walk in a forest can bring. This project is a translation of the experience of walking on the Devil’s Kitchen Trail in Roaring River state Park, MO. The goal was to capture the feeling of being insignificant in front of nature. To capture how small we are when there is time to reflect on the longevity of the flora and stones formations. The forest was there before us and it will be there long after us, we are just a miniscule moment in the timeline.

Drury Theater Springfield, MO The Drury Theater is an education and performing arts building located at the university’s campus. Being an education building allowed for the critique of the current education practices of prescribed learning with little room for original thought. Opposed to today’s classrooms theaters have been places of innovation, political and social change, and overall sense of wonder. An open box defines the theater space, to symbolize the break of the current learning systems, and the welcoming of new and innovative ideas in the education.

Sculpture Museum Springfield, MO Jordan Valley Sculpture Park is one of Springfield’s most ambitious public projects. The park receives temporary exhibitions that need to be stored until they are placed in the park. A museum is proposed to meet this need and serve as a multi-purpose space that helps engage the community in the project through education workshops and provide an alternative exhibition space for a wider range of exhibitions.

Artist Space Pullman, IL The Pullman Artist Space is an artist community in the former industrial town of Pullman. The project aims to provide a creative and collaborative space for artists that live in the community and around the country. The building combines housing with workshops, studios and exhibition rooms to create a cycle of collaboration, production, and presentation that benefits not only the artists but also the surrounding neighborhood.

Study Abroad Sketches Europe
The sketches were the product of a field sketching class during four months in Europe were we were based in Aegina, Greece. The program allowed us to travel to Croatia, London, Italy and Spain, as well as an extensive part of nothern and western Greece. Here I created a series of live drawings to capture the essence and culture of each place. Also another series of still life to remember the most memorable artifacts, sculptures and buildings from history and the present.
