Laura Stankunaite Industrial cafĂŠ brief
Research of industrial style cafĂŠs
I researched the basic elements of the industrial style; exposed ceilings, lights and pipes. This cafĂŠ has a focal element of a huge table throughout the length of the interior and the rest of the interior is built around it.

Pavilions
Perspective
Elevation
This angular pavilion is surrounding a glass structure with the roof being integrated with the floor and part of the interior, serving multiple purposes in the structure.
Pavilions
This pavilion had a glass rectangular, minimal structure in the centre with a tensile, curved structure surrounding it. The structure didn’t provide functional shelter but with its partial transparency provided interesting lighting.
Temporary structures The ‘Third Wave’ kiosk in Australia near the coastline, is a place for changing rooms and coffee. Weathered sheet-metal that was used for flood protection in the area a few years prior was repurposed for the structure, which can be easily broken down and relocated if necessary. perspective

Temporary structures 2
Container cafes are temporary and sustainable structures that are mostly categorised as industrial since they’re mainly made of raw metal material. They are easily adaptable to events or weather as they can move parts or unfold within the structure.

Integrated seating/tables
Integrated seating or tables provide more interest and space for storage or dĂŠcor, they may also be more functional in social spaces like cafes.

FINAL OUTCOME
Side note of idea; make an industrial cafĂŠ using a combination of items found in science museum. Industrial items in display are to be modernised/developed into cafĂŠ structure, making the old look new again.
