Nuova vita per l'Ex Filanda
REFURBISHMENT OF A SILK FACTORY IN A GASTRONOMIC CENTER & CULINARY INSTITUTE
Nuova vita per l'Ex Filanda A
Valmadrera, small town between mountains and lake, suffers from a lack of dynamism. The requalification of a former silk factory into a culinary institute provides the opportunityto involve a great diversity of users. The main building is a beautiful example of the 18th centuary industrial architecture. The intervention aims to enhance the length of the Filanda, the timber structure of its roof by creating a rythm between transparent and opaque spaces. Respect of the memory, and integration in the environment remain our priority.

COMPLETION OF A FORMER CLOISTER IN THE HEART OF MILAN
20
Diocesan Museum's extension Location : Milan, Italy Size : 3800 m² Role in the project : Design, technological details Type of project: Educational project - Architectural design Duration: from 10/2011 to 02/2012
Adding a new part to an existing museum is a delicate challenge. The extension has to complete and integrate the old building, to be respectful of its milanese architecture but also to reinterpret it. It is the opportunity to reconnect two totally different parts of Milan, the overcrowded Porta T Cinese Street, to the forgotten park. Public accessibility, sustainability valorization of the natural environment and visual connections were our main concerns.

TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY IN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

Build Our Nation Location : Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo Role in the project : Building team, leader of the ressources management. Type of project : Workshop in Milan and Venice. Exhibition in the Biennale di Venezia Duration: from 04/2012 to 10/2013
The workshop aims to design a women's community center in Bukavu. Our architectural proposal is based on the idea that security should come from social interconnectivity and physiological safety. The center of the community will be the collection of water point. To increase the feeling of the inhabitants'confidence, the houses has to be buildable by themselves, thus imposing the use of a light by resistant material, allowing grat opportunity of personalization and variety of expression : the bamboo.

DESIGN OF A KINDERGARTEN AND DAY-CARE CENTER
44
The Joy Factory Location : Turkey Size : 2 000 m² Role in the project : Member of the design team Type of project: Competition Duration: from 01/2013 to 05/2013
The project area is in the middle of an industrial zone. To ensure the right atmosphere for the children, the park proposes a wide range of landscape. The shape of the building fits the levelling of the ground. The building becomes part of the landscape. Organic shapes share a motherly softness enhancing the childish purpose of the center. To blury the border between inside / outside, between building and park, large well of light create internal courtyard. Always carrying the childre interests, to help their orientation, we suggest colorfull elevations.
