Stories about councillors, and even mayors, reaching the end of what they feel they can accomplish within a given set of circumstances before the end of their mandate are not new. We’ve seen this scenario play out in the region more than once and it’s also a current news item within  .   C    And while people (being the complex creatures that we are) each have their own unique point of view, it should not cloud the job of public service for which one is elected.

The factors that contribute to one   (   +    have a similar basis – personal con3  7  # N   #  sector for various reasons ranging from pay, career advancement, inter-      3     high on the exit ladder.

C (   +   not there for the money. They are usually highly invested in their com-              (  #  6  (        -   (   - bers is not a decision made lightly.

If personal power trips, agendas, interests and opinions of any elected + 9       :        their electorate then they are not the right person for the job.
