FLOOD FLOOD

In areas with frequent flood discharge, the living conditions of residents are completely different.

From 1954 to 2007, the Wangjiaba dam in the Huaihe River Basin opened its floodgates 15 times. After the flood discharge, they will be seriously damaged by the flood. It is difficult for people to maintain their lives with negligible compensation, and more and more people have given up their hometown

Indeed, we should not forget the sacrifices made by residents in flood control areas, but we should pay more attention to their real situation while being grateful. How to improve living conditions and resist floods may be more worthy of our real concern.

Regional current situation

The Huai River flows through large areas of villages and farmland

For thousands of years, the flood of the river has repeatedly flooded the surrounding farmland and villages

At present, "Zhuangtai" - a relatively large platform has been set up in some areas of the Huaihe River Basin, making the villages form isolated islands.

The conception of "bowl shape"

When the flood rises, the terrace becomes an island and the usable land area shrinks

After investigating and analyzing the local villages, we found that the public space of 'ancestral hall' plays a spiritual core role for the villagers: that is,the bearing place for the daily activities of the neighborhood and the gathering place for major decisions or commemorative festivals

Vertical agricultural planting has always been a cutting-edge technology in solving the contradiction between population and land. We will use this new model to make better use of the precious original ecological soil area in the most central area of the whole village. At the same time, adjust the business type to focus on cash crops to help local villagers get rid

To choose a flexible way to achieve harmonious coexistence with nature, with the dry season and rainy season, it conforms to nature and adjusts

Variable Auditorium

After the 'bowl wall' is raised, a circular height difference zone will be formed from the center to the outside. We use a large number of large ladder spaces and small ramps to make this height difference more fragmented and differentiated, and build many variable public spaces along the slope, such as theaters and sports grounds

Suspended Walkway

In the village design, in addition to the necessary roads and paths, we also built flexible footpaths between some nodes with strong connections (such as houses, schools and markets) - they are made of local bamboo and wood. When the slope rises, the supporting points of these footpaths allow them to float up, realizing simple and convenient multiple transportation systems and beautiful landscape platforms in the village

Such a collective village above the flood can save 925 families - equivalent to the capacity of the original five villages, save about 35% of the cultivated land area, and can be widely constructed in the whole basin

The name "takeaway rider" implies expectations of "speed" and "movement." It seems to be assumed that food pick-up and delivery constitute the whole of a rider's daily life. For the simple reason that we only pay attention to riders when they are "riding", their value is therefore tied to their sport.

We order, we trade, and then out of nowhere a rider's head pops up on a minimap. We can monitor their movement through the city through the platform software, and all the concrete spatial elements are reduced to a two-dimensional curved line. We want them to hurry, and hurry, until the food is delivered to us. Then we don't have to care where they go any more than we care where they come from.

To a vast network of information, stationary riders are just information redundancy af ter the data has been transferred -- like temporary files and histories. But with the intensification of informationization of the service industry, such redundancy will increase and gradually overflow from the cracks of the city, wandering around the city in a dazed and idle way.

But we pay little attention to their space problems. This, in my opinion, is related to the power and dignity of riders as human beings in the urban space.

The epidemic accelerated society's pace toward an era of interconnected and vector rich technologies, as if public entity spaces were gradually replaced by web virtual spaces, requiring architectural spaces to recapture discourse.

In reality, however, physical and virtual space, never a competing relationship, and detaching from modern medium technology to allow architectural curvature and oligogenicity are not desirable.

In modern urbanicity, which has shown the inevitable trend of spatial stereology, diversification, fragmentation, and so on, the two kinds of spaces are gradually intermingled, superimposed, and interactive.

Overbridge - as the pioneer of the stereological spaces of cities, in addition to the extremely traffic trait it itself carries, more meaning should be given and carried over in the present-day era of tianbridge.

As a 'City plug-in' scheme generated based on Overbridge derivative development, CLOUD STREET responds to the questions addressed to us in the post epidemic era in terms of an architectural sink, spatial composition, data analysis, and typological studies.

Small public architectural design

"It is either a genius or a madman", which is the remark made by Anthony Gaudi when he graduated from Barcelona Architecture School. Now, maybe the genius side has the upper hand. He drew inspiration from Gothic architecture and oriental style revived in the 19th century, and injected various patterns from nature into his works. His genius understanding of structure made him make those seemingly "impossible" buildings: not only efficient in material utilization, but also dynamic and natural beauty.

Huffington Post said in commemoration of him: "As an architect, Gaudi's unique imagination combines nature, religion and Catalan culture to create beautiful organic monuments - they are still the symbols of Spanish architecture."

When we review his life experience and each architectural work, a kind of emotion of admiration and commemoration is inspired heartily; When we express our opinions or get inspiration in his academic discussion, Gaudi's architectural spirit is reborn again. That is to say, people's attitude towards such a great architect is not only unilateral worship and imitation, but also constantly inspire more followers to create the future in the interaction with his ideas.

Therefore, a place to commemorate the architect Gaudi is still needed. It is used to meet people's nostalgia, respect and endless discussion and enlightenment for Gaudi.
