about me

Profile I’m a young graduate in Graphic & Virtual Design at Politecnico of Turin (Italy). During my studies and after some cooperations with graphic companies I have focused my attention on projects about several themes regarding graphic and web design. I have a good attitude for working in group and I’ve learned to work out new ideas. My skills concern many aspects of communication design: publishing, web design, typography, press and colors’ theory. I’m able to use vectorial and bitmap’s software both for Mac Os and for Windows. I’m interested to study software for 3d graphic in depth. My other passions are music, travel, movies and art.

Grimi s.r.l. is a Sicilian company that deal in building material and in aqueduct and sewer construction. For the logo I’ve choosen a simple and stylized simble in order to represent the main action fields of the company. I have used the company institutional colors and a simple but recognizable font.

Consorzio Ausonia - 2009 Corporate identity

Consorzio Ausonia is an association of several companies that deal in building and constructions. These companies cooperate, but each one maintains its autonomy. The logo I have realized is composed by a minimal symbol wich represents a planet surrounded by three rings, each one representing one of the consorzium companies.

Dia Bos - 2009 Corporate identity

Dia-Bos is a company wich deals in carriage of food products to supermarket and stores. The logo has been designed starting from the image of a track, according to the purchaser requirement. The track has a pointed extremity, wich represents the quickness and efficiency in deliveries by the company. The font is regular and well recognizable and its based on the geometry of the circle. The central red circle attracts the observer’s attention on the logo.

Politecnico di Torino - 2009 Logo for the 150th anniversary

This is a logo proposal for the 150th anniversary of Politecnico of Turin. My proposal starts from the classic laurels crown, typical of the offiacial cerimonies. It frames the whole composition. The number 150 is comunicated by a traditional font to celebrate the prestige of the school. The Arial font, on the contrary, is the institutional font of the school and it gives modernity to the entire logo.

Personal project - 2009 Logo Pleasure condoms

Pleasure is a personal project. It is an hypothesis for a new brand of condoms. The logo is constituted by a simple, linear and original font, wich assumes different colouring according to the condon type. The cross on the left symbolizes the taboo and the eroticism, linked to the image of this product.

Bicocca University - 2009 Xenophobia, Prejudice and Interethnic Relations

Graphic design for the leaflet created for a conference on xenophobia and prejudice. The image had to be winning and representative of difference, considered as a generic concept. The choice of colours derives from the necessity of coherence with the image of the university hosting the event.

Quercetti - 2008 Aircut AD - Non farlo volare solo con la fantasia

Aircut is a personal project realized in scholar circle on commission from Quercetti, a leader company in the toy industry. The project consists of a set of aeroplanes in soft material E.V.A., planned on the model of the common paper planes, but able to fly thanks to their aerodynamic shape.

The advertising of the product has been thought in order to be published on magazines addressed to mothers. That’s way the image is strong and evocative, a clear reference to happiness and serenity of the child using the toy. On the other side of the page, there is a simple scheme with broken lines, which can be used by the child to construct a paper plane in three simple stages, maintaining the unmistakable style of the Aircut products.

paper La Venere Gommosa - 2009 Artwork La Venere Gommosa LP

Artwork for the debut-album of “La Venere Gommosa”. The choice of the picture has been inspired by the overall image that the band wants to convey: life strongly influenced by the vintage style. That’s way the band always uses pictures representing female figures, retro fashion dressed, never depicted in the face, but always from unusual and original perspectives.

Personal project- 2007 Pyramid year

Desk calendar in coloured card. The portable calendar can be easily assembled even by the unskilled user. It has a modern and winning shape, suitable for all kind of spaces. The product is thought to be sold in different models and colours.

Fred Perry - 2009 Meet

Meet is a modular and multipurpose product, proposed in order to approach the firm Fred Perry to the world of design. The aim is to enter new markets maintaining the same target. The interior decoration world represents the ideal sector where the elegance and care of the details typical of the brand can be expressed.

Fred Perry - 2009 Meet lives with you ADS

The advertising campaign of the product Meet has been planned to be published on fashion, home furnishing and design magazines. There are two versions of the advertisement, but each one can be truly perceived only in relation with the other one, as a kind of picture story ; they should indeed take up the inside cover and the last page of the magazine.

RayBan - 2009 Wayfarer Wild Model

Rosewood prototype of the classic Wayfarer model from RayBan, created for the workshop exam at university. The result has been very convincing, and I named it Wild, in order to highlight the idea of savage, forbidden, uncontaminated which is evoked by this model.

RayBan - 2009 ADS Wild Model

Regarding the advertisement of these glasses, I’ve decided to use two very strong images, linked to the sphere of nature. The uncontaminated nature of the forest, where the wooden texture dominates everything else, seemed to me particularly suitable for the model. The subjects are completely naked, dressed only in their RayBan Wild. The famous claim Never Hide, used in all the advertisements of the brand, definitely contributes to the meaning of the composition.

Moleskine - 2007 Writer’s style packaging

Proposal for a new packaging for the diary Moleskine. This project is based on the idea of giving more prominence to the myth of this product, to its indissoluble bond with the act of sketching, taking notes and express one self. The product is advertised as the historical diary used by Van Gogh, Chatwin, Hemingway and Matisse. In consideration of this aim, the packaging is simple and not bulky, with thoughts and quotations of famous writers printed on, according to the typical Moleskine style.

Apple - 2008 Ergonomic restyling Ipod packaging

The I-pod current packaging, simple and modular, has solved lots of the negative aspects of the first package in terms of practicality and waste of material. An in-depth analysis has however pointed out how it could be improved, especially from the ergonomic point of view. This proposal of packaging consists of a transparent capsule, particularly manageable and easy to display. The graphic is constituted by the product itself, visible from all sides.

Personal project - 2009 Pleasure condoms packaging

The packaging of condom is usually very simple and traditional. Compared with other products, the research of new solutions and the experimentation are still very limited. That’s way I’ve conceived a new package, practical and manageable, avoiding the enormous waste of space of the current boxes. A particular and well recognizable packaging, in pocket-size, really winning if compared to the traditional carton box. A kind of little wallet.

Design and architecture of my personal website. It has been realized using HTML and CSS. The website is composed by approximately 30 pages, divided in sections, and it has been thought for an easy and fast update. Every action inside the site is easy and intuitive thanks to the extremly simple and essential layout.

SEAT Pagine Gialle - 2009 YouChoose - Tu scegli, lui impara

Winner project of the competition “Premio Innovazione: Mobilità Digitale”, organized by SEAT Pagine Gialle in cooperation with Politecnico of Turin. The object of the competition was the design of contents, interfaces and innovative services for web mobile. The software YouChoose is centered on the user and it offers suggestions for different activities. It saves personal preferences for the future uses. It represents a real personal assistent, always available but never invading.
