Lawbore: The Forum

What is Lawbore? • It’s an easy to use student guide for law students • Specifically made for City Law students but any law student or if interested in law can visit this website • Lots of content available online for free, to help students in legal research and good for anyone with a legal interest • Many important links available • All materials are specially selected in the directory, designed to be student friendly • Created by Emily Allbon and Howard Richardson

What is the forum? • It’s the student’s chat forum. • Can discuss any topics, from selling books to other law students, to other nonlegal chats, such as selling concert tickets or finding flatmates. • There are 8 different forums, all for students to talk about any issues or questions they may have to be answered by other students.

8 Main Forums •

Escape Law! – The place for non-legal talks

What are the advantages?  Online forums allow the ability to express views and opinions on a wide variety of different subjects from different many different people.  The forums provide a central reference point for students who are wanting to discuss topics which are relevant to them. i.e. a new Law topic which is being taught.  Not only is it something of an academic tool, Lawbore is also a social tool. A way to meet new people on the same course and also exchange ideas on different matters.  The inclusion of RSS feeds means that if a student signs up to this, they can keep up to date with forums which they are interested in.  Forums act as an interactive tool, this allows for interaction between students and the website, as well as interaction with other students and staff members.

So why do we like it?... • Because its EASY! You don’t have to be a genius to use it. • Its also really good for those of us who are embarrassed to ask a question without feeling silly...because nobody has to know who you are.  • We like it because its PRACTICAL and USEFUL.
