The firm largely serves corporate law departments and attorneys within the Missouri area but has nationwide reach. It specializes in in-house attorney placement. The recruiting firm’s origins date back to 1980, when Aaron Williams established the Executive Division of Snelling and Snelling. Ten years later, Williams bought out Snelling and Snelling’s Executive Division and Aaron Consulting Inc. was born. In the purchase, Williams also received the existing attorney and client files. Williams is certified through both the Missouri and National Association of Personnel Consultants (MAPC and NAPC). Aaron Consulting has worked with clients of all sizes and in just about every industry. The firm treats each client as an individual and works within each company’s given budget to provide a competent candidate. The firm also offers direction on devising a compensation package that is likely to draw and retain a suitable candidate to the position. The firm provides a 180-day candidate placement guarantee and works at a discounted rate when multiple placements are involved.

With access to various databases that have been in development since 1980, Aaron Consulting has the ability to access potential candidates without difficulty or delay. In fact, local searches are generally completed within two weeks and nationwide searches take about twice that long. Aaron Consulting values confidentiality and does not release any attorney candidate information without prior permission. Resumes remain in the firm’s databases and cannot be accessed by outside sources. Typically, candidates who have submitted a resume will be considered for new positions before they are listed on the firm’s website. For 2010, Aaron Consulting’s placements were 100 percent in-house, with 40 percent at senior level and 60 percent at middle or junior level. 60 percent of the placed attorney candidates previously worked in-house and 40 percent came from law firms.
