New York State Bar Association has an Outstanding Website for Attorneys The New York State bar Association knows what their professionals need and make it available through a comprehensive website. The site is built to inform, update and help attorneys promote their business. It connects them to information from the health plans available to current events in the news important to the legal profession.
Do you need to look up cases or do other research? There are links to the Federal Government, New York State Government and other related sites on the New York Bar Association website. Under the Federal Government an attorney can research the executive branch and link to the websites of all the departments in the branch. The New York Bar Association lists organizations for pro bono work that are looking for volunteers to assist. The New York State Bar Association presents awards for pro bono work done through the year to individual attorneys, to law firms who encouraged staff to provide pro bono services and to a group of law students and one single law student who dedicated their time to aid a pro bono organization. Attorneys have access to a Lawyer Referral Service through the site and also a Legal Recruiter Directory, Law Firm and Employer Directory and a Temporary Legal Staffing search for positions available. Members also have access to member benefits and savings programs. The site offers links to many legal research sources that are conveniently linked to from the New York State Bar Association web site. If an attorney is thinking to move or begin working in another state the attorney has access to the entire list of state bar associations that can make the change easier to the new state bar association.
