Neely Legal process outsourcing, or LPO, is when law firms and other companies use the services of “an outside law firm or legal support services company.” Generally, firms use LPO for review of documents, research, writing, for drafting briefs and other documents, as well as for outsourcing of patent services, among other things.
LPO has become an oft used strategy for lowering costs and increasing efficiency. However, the LPO provider firms select is of the utmost importance in furthering quality and value, immediately, and long term. Recently, Pangea3 presented a panel at ALM’s third Virtual Corporate Counsel Forum (VCCF), “Legal Outsourcing: Inhouse Counsel Discuss Strategies for Maximizing Value.” The panel is just one of the many services the company offers to educate, and help its customers to be more successful.
