Featuring over 40 artworks in a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, and photography, the majority of the objects are on view at SBMA for the first time. Sullivan Goss has represented the work of American artists since 1984. With an inventory of over 3,000 works, including paintings, watercolors, drawings, prints and sculptures, Sullivan Goss is the primary West Coast gallery positioned to help build private and public collections of important American art. The gallery is constantly seeking to acquire works by significant American painters and sculptors including those artists referred to as modernist, impressionist, surrealist, tonalist, and expressionist. Our downtown location offers approximately twenty exhibitions each year. The gallery is also involved with scholarship and research for American artists.
