March 8 – Create a Chain Reaction: Learn about concepts like force and momentum while using ramps, seesaws and ziplines to build a chain reaction. Participants will complete challenges and show off their problem solving skills to the group. Recommended for older children.

March 22 – Marble Run: Learn about gravity, momentum, actions and reactions while creating your own unique marble run. Complete challenges and timed races with and against other participants.

Sign up to play games on the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch features games like Minecraft, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Party. Or, you can use our library catalogue to order Switch games to try out at Grand Bend Library before you bring them home.

Wednesday, March 15 - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sign up to play games on the NES Mini. Featuring games like Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Adventure, and more. There are two controllers available to play with time slots of 30 minutes.

April: Discuss “Shuggie Bain” by Douglas Stuart, a historical fiction novel about a boy growing up with his alcoholic mother in 1980s, post-industrial working-class Glasgow.

ADULT DIY - BAD ART NIGHT

Wednesday, March 29 - 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

On bad art night, there is no pressure to be the best. We just want you to create a piece of art using painting, canvas, and other provided materials. Bring a friend, or come alone, for a fun evening of creating. At the end of the evening there will be a vote for the worst art piece, and a certificate for the winner. Come and do your worst.
