Jan Edward Montarsi
Clayer, Demo Artist and creator of LC Blending Cutters. At 12 I bugged Mrs, Hoxie every day after school to make somthing in her tiny craft shop (Time & Talent) by 13 I was teaching all her lasses in candle making macrame, decoupage paper quilling and any other products she sold and kids summer classes I made 11k dollars that year selling my macrame (HEY it was the 1970‘s) moved to Fl. at 18 and found stained glass.
I have always wanted to be a starving artist but the food has always been much better as a workaholic restaurant manager / owner / back to manager (its nice to be on the receiving end of a paycheck. I found polymer clay about 2008 when I was looking for a hobby that i could do in the house (it‘s to cold in the winter in Ohio to do staind glass in the garage). I don‘t tend to produce quantity but I do strive for a professional quality to my work.
All images in this e-book were made during LC Global tesing Day #3. COPYRIGHT Ⓒ 2015 Jan Edward Montarsi

Large Right Angle LC Cutter Use Large Right Angle LC Cutter to cut out 2 colors of your choice. They will perfectly fit your 150 mm pasta machine. For larger sheet double the thickness of clay by cutting 2 of each color and stacking.
For a 180mm pasta machine, make yourself a cardstock template as wide as your rollers. Slide triangles in opposite directions to get to the proper width desired. Trim off points to make your sheet even.
For narrower blends, slide the triangles in the same manner as before but cut off vertical opposing ends.
Skinner Blend 2
smooth blend between more colors

Stout Triangle LC Cutter Cut your desired colors. Five triangles with the ends trimmed into 1/2 triangles will fit the 150 mm pasta machine. Six triangles will fit the width of a 180 mm pasta machine.
Skinner Blend 3
smooth blend between even more colors

Tall Triangle LC Cutter Cut your desired colors. Trim triangles on both ends in half vertically to fit your 150 mm machine (7 triangles). Eight triangles will fit the width of a 180 mm pasta machine.

Tall Triangle LC Cutter You can make „Mini Blends“ if desired by cutting equal width strips of your clay color that are any size shorter than the Tall or Stout LC triangle cutters.
Place the point of the triangle cutter at the top of your clay strip and cut. Repeat for all colors desired. (I am using deli sheets to keep my cutter clean between colors.) Trim triangles on both ends in half vertically. Use a magnet spacer on your pasta machine to make blends smaller than 150 mm wide.
Skinner Blend 5

Tips And Tricks 2
Keep Cutters clean by covering clay sheet before cutting , using plastic deli sheets , saran wrap or even recycle plastic grocery store bags (avoid the printing on grocery store bags). I use a dry stiff paint brush to clean my LC Cutters.
