The City Property Association (CPA) brings together property owners, developers, investors and professional advisors in order to inform policy and drive the economic prosperity of the City of London as a diverse and dynamic business district. We partner with the City of London Corporation to commission research, share market intelligence and represent our members’ interests in a collective voice. We make representations to policymakers at the local and national level in order to support the City of London and ensure its ongoing success as the preeminent global business destination.

The Association commissions and supports research, driving thought leadership and industry knowledge. Our annual research reports with the City of London Corporation include ‘Locate, Create and Innovate: London in a changing world’ (2019), ‘The City As a Place for People’ (2018) and ‘Tech X The City: Assessing and Accelerating the Impact of Tech on the Square Mile’ (2017). Through CPA’s partnership with Westminster Property Association (under the London Property Alliance banner), it has supported research on ‘Head Office: London’s Rise and Future as a Corporate Centre’ by Centre for London (2019) ‘London’s Knowledge Clusters’ (2018) and ‘Future Skills’ (due in 2020). 4
NextGen The Association is increasingly representative of younger professionals within the industry through its renowned NextGen initiative. Established in 2018 to support the next generation of industry leaders, CPA NextGen is an inclusive and diverse professional network. The NextGen committee organises a busy calendar of industry events, engages with policy and commissions its own research.
The busy calendar of networking events, including a dedicated NextGen programme, bringing together our 165 member companies to forge new business partnerships and hear directly from senior politicians and policymakers. Through our events programme, we promote best practice within the industry and showcase our members’ developments to an unrivalled network of owners, investors, developers and real estate professionals.

Advocacy The CPA promotes the commercial property industry interests of our members, representing your views to City of London planners and policymakers, along with key London bodies, the Mayor of London’s office and the media.
We submit detailed representations to the strategic planning consultations, providing a respected industry voice on the City Plan, London Plan and on Governmentcommissioned reviews. We attend the major political party conferences - as well as industry summits MIPIM, LREF and MIPIM UK - to promote Central London real estate on the national and international stage.

The CPA, under the London Property Alliance banner, joins forces with sister organisation Westminster Property Association to promote the interests of the property industry across Central London. Our combined membership provides a unified voice for more than 420 of the leading owners, investors, professional advisors and developers of real estate across Central London. 6
