Eros Ramazzotti comes to Barcelona with one of contemporary music’s most consolidated musical careers at his back. With over fifty million records sold across the globe, this romano verace rose to stardom in the San Remo Festival in 1984, winning the competition with Terra Promessa, one of his all-time hits. In 1985 he released his first album, “Cuori agitati” (Rebellious Souls), along with the single Una storia importante (An Important Story), which went on to sell a million copies in France alone. The album was also released in Spain. However, future CD re-editions were not published in Spanish. This makes "Rebellious Souls" a highly sought-after collectors’ item due to its singularity and rarity, as it was only released in Spanish and in Spain as a vinyl single. Since then, he has consolidated his career, drifting further and further away from the cliché of teen idol ever associated with radio hits, rounding into a convinced and convincing musician. “Alas y Raíces” was recorded in Los Angeles and is Eros Ramazzotti’s 11th studio album. Its 11 new tracks smash the lengthy silence he had guarded since the publication of his Greatest Hits double CD “E2”, both going multi-platinum. If Eros Ramazzotti had not become a singer, he would have become a football player. Football and Juventus constitute his other great passion. His millions of fans will thank their lucky stars that the Canzone italiana got to him first.

This work revolves around the modern man; a man who inhabits today’s world, and shares life with love, relationships, surroundings, communication, violence, war, hope, fear and joy. .........................................................
Un trabajo que gira en torno al hombre moderno que habita en el mundo actual y convive con el amor, las relaciones, el entorno, la comunicación, la violencia, la guerra, la esperanza, los miedos y también la alegría.
BARCELONA deluxe· Winter 2009/10·
he lights have once again been switched on. In the wake of a four year absence, Eros Ramazzotti has re-commenced his travels. He has embarked on a world tour that will bring him to Barcelona on February 15; an electrifying extravaganza with which he will present his new album “Alas y Raíces” (Wings and Roots), which has already sold a million copies. This work revolves around the modern man; a man who inhabits today’s world, and shares life with love, relationships, surroundings, communication, violence, war, hope, fear and joy. May saw the release of the album’s first single, entitled Dímelo a mí (Say it to me). With the second single already on-air, the tour, his most expensive to date, kicked off in October. Ramazzotti’s maturity has reached a moment of splendour. He feels at peace with the music he is making. On stage, he is backed by great musicians the likes of Michael Landau, a regular feature in Michael Jackson and James Taylor shows, and Gary Novack, who has played with legends such as George Benson, Chick Corea and Alanis Morissette. A show packed with two fast-paced hours that leave a fabulous taste in everyone’s mouth. Serge Denoncourt, one of the Cirque du Soleil’s routine collaborators, is the man behind the spectacular scenery. Eight containers distributed in two columns form a wall over the stage. When the show erupts, an enraged port noise welcomes spectators. The containers make an impact. They open, light up, serve as large projection screens: a truly spectacular, ominous mise-en-scène that will leave more than one fan astounded.
