EMBROIDERY Embroidered logos are an excellent choice for garments such as poloshirts, sweatshirts, jackets and fleeces. The logos look extremely smart and are very durable lasting as long as the garment itself. To embroider your logo generally takes a week or so, but we do stock garments ready embroidered for specific customers to absolutely guarantee next day delivery even when you leave it to the last minute!

MEASUREMENT GUIDE It is important to measure your body accurately for garments to fit correctly. Measure over light clothing or underwear. Make no extra allowance for movement ease, we do that for you when designing our products.

LADIES

1. BUST Measure around the fullest part. 2. WAIST Measure around the natural waistline. 3. LEG LENGTH Measure from top of inside leg to the required length.

MEN

1. COLLAR Measure around the base of neck and make sure the tape fits comfortably. 2. CHEST Measure the fullest part of the chest normally under the arms. 3. WAIST Measure around the natural waistline. 4. LEG LENGTH Measure from top of inside leg to the required length.

LEACHâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;S FIRST FOR SAFETY

GARMENT CARE We take great care to use quality fabrics for all our ranges. Garment and fabrics are tested under carefully monitored conditions in accordance with recognised standards. Wash tests check for colour fastness, shrink resistance and care label accuracy. Wear test are undertaken to check the serviceability and longevity of garments. LAUNDERING Always refer to the care label before laundering and ensure the care label instructions are adhered to. Always wash dark colours separately. Fabric softeners and conditioners may prove detrimental to the performance of some garments. GARMENT SHRINKAGE Excessive shrinkage is primarily due to factors such as heat and major agitation during the wash cycle. Always wash as per the instruction as stated on the care label. PILLING & BOBBLING Abrasion and timely washing of garment with fabric softeners leads to fibre balls appearing on the surface of the fabric. Remove balls by mild surface brushing. We strongly recommend not to use fabric conditioners in the wash. TRIMS AND ACCESSORIES Trims and accessories like zips, toggles, pocket linings and elastic cords are constructed for normal use. COLOUR STAINING Wash similar colour garments together. Do not leave damp garments together for any length of time.

PPE IMPORTANT INFORMATION HEAD PROTECTION

HEARING PROTECTION

The Construction (Head Protection) Regulations oblige employers to supply suitable head protection on construction sites and employees to wear it. Other than construction sites the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations imposes similar duties where there is a risk of head injuries. The Regulations detail the duties placed on employers and employees;

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations requires that when hearing protection is provided against noise risks, the employee has a duty to wear the equipment provided as intended. If noise levels are above 80dBA then hearing protection must be made available for use by the employer. If noise levels exceed 85dBA then hearing protection must be supplied and must be worn. European Standards now provide for protection in the workplace areas, the issue and use of PPE in the work place should be considered under a suitable and sufficient risk assessment. The correct level of protection is vital - it should be neither too low or too high. The perfect balance is the harmful sound is screened out, but the wearer can still hear the low noise dangers, ie fork lift trucks, instructions from colleagues etc.

EMPLOYERS: Provide, maintain and replace where necessary PPE. Ensure employees wear protection where necessary. Provide information regularly regarding suitable use of PPE. EMPLOYEES: Must use PPE for its intended purpose as and when required by the employer. Look after the PPE and report any losses or defect. HELMET REPLACEMENT There is no reference within the regulation regarding safety helmet’s working life but manufacturers make recommendations. It is strongly recommended that they are replaced at least every three years. Excessive wear and tear can drastically reduce this period. Helmets that have been abused, scratched or damaged in any way should be discarded.

HAND PROTECTION The wearing of hand protection in hazardous conditions is covered under of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations: ‘Gloves or other hand protection should be capable of giving protection from hazards, be comfortable and fit the wearer. The choice should be made on the basis of suitability for protection, compatibility with the work and the requirements of the user.’ European Standards now provide for protection in workplace areas, the issue and use of PPE in the workplace should be considered under a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.
