Highlights from the 2024 Turf Workshop

Lion Hills Center in Columbus, Mississippi again hosted the annual MTA January Turfgrass Workshop. It was well attended—79! Led by an excellent group of educators, attendees were updated on soil fertility, insect pests on urban trees, current management assessment on the ERI diseases Take-All and Spring Dead Spot, trends in warm season turf breeding and a turfgrass weed science update. Attendees were also brought up to date on the rules and regulations of the Mississippi Bureau of Plant Industry. •
