Mary Owen quietly retired from UMass this summer after decades of tireless service to the turf industry. She was a founding member of NESTMA and the first woman president in 2002. “She made NESTMA the ‘go to’ organization for sports turf managers,” says longtime member and past president David Pinsonneault.
