We’re in this together

Uncertain, challenging, and unprecedented – these are just a few of the words used to describe the world we live in now. As we try to find our footing in the shifting sand of the new normal, the most important thing is that you and your loved ones are safe and well.

At NESTMA, we are in regular contact with our members, fellow STMA chapters, and allied organizations to provide the resources needed to hit the ground running once the crisis is under control and re-opening begins.

STMA has done a fantastic job in directing our industry’s response, as well as keeping chapters connected and collaborating during these difficult days. Together, we have developed valuable resources like:

• Route to Recovery — Healing Through Sports Digital Guidebook

• The STMA Commercial Partners Virtual Learning Lab

• Complimentary guest access to the Sports Field Institute information for 6 months for anyone who needs support on their fields during this time

• Virtual Town Hall Tuesdays

• Re-tooled job board with a focus on internships and helping students make connections

• Online learning resource guide

As I write this message in May, there is no clear sense as to when we’ll be able to gather again in face-to-face meetings. It is great, however, to look back on the success of our winter dinner meeting in early February with Patrick Maguire, as well as our March Awards Meeting at NERTC in Providence. We’ve enjoyed seeing everyone via Zoom Member Meet Ups and our May webinar with Stan Kostka and Mike Fidanza from PSU was a hit! Stay tuned for more great programming from NESTMA.
