LEAGUE 27 AT ROOSEVELTS HAS INCREASED FROM 7 PLAYERS TO 12 PLAYERS AS WE WELCOME NEWCOMERS TO THE LEAGUE: TOOD COOK, JOHN KILLETT, JOHN SURHIGH, JIM VOHS, GARY LOVERDE AND MIKE BATES ~ WELCOME ALL Table #1 #7 Matt Dessert vs #5 Jim Pellerito Matt continues to shoot decently and came out scorching the clothe on Tuesday night at Roosevelt’s Pool and Pub. He opened the 8 Ball Set winning all four games keeping Jim Pellerito off the table most of the set winning it 4 games to 0. Matt came into the 9 Ball Set winning the first game to make it 5 straight games. Jim finally put and end to that nailing game two and three. Matt came back and nailed a win in game 4 to tie the set. Jim nailed a 9 ball win in game 5 to climb on the hill first. Matt followed suit winning game 6. Jim closed out the set with a win in game 7 to win the 9 ball set, 4 games to 3. Jim came right back to win the first game of the 10 Ball Set. That would be all Jim could muster in the set as Matt marched right though the next 4 games to win the set, 4 games to 1 for Jim. Matt wins the match 13 points to 6 points for Jim. Nice shooting by both players. Table #2 #3 Peter Ramonat vs #9 John Killett John Killett came out firing and put together some good shooting skills in the 8 Ball Set. John and Peter exchanged the first (4) games, John winning 1st and 3rd with Peter jumping in between with wins on the 2nd and 4th games. After that it was all John with back to back wins in game 5 and 6 to win the set, 4 games to 2. Peter did not take that well and came back in the 9 Ball Set with a vengeance. He won all 4 games to take the set without John getting any wins in the set. John continued to be cold in the 10 Ball Set as well as Peter continued to post win after win in the set. When it was over, Peter won 8 games in a row closing out the 10 ball set. Peter wins the match, 12 points to 5 for John. A nice effort by John with some nice comeback shooting by Peter to win the match. Table #3 #10 John Surhigh vs #2 Walt Wnuk John Surhigh joins league 27 at Roosevelts for the fall league. He hesitated for about ( maybe 6 minutes) but with pool in his blood, resistance was futile. Walt started on the positive side winning game one but then on a few miscues and some nice shooting John posted back to back wins in the 8 Ball Set. Walt got a win in game 4 as John put the 8 ball in at the wrong time, as Walt tied up the set at two games each. They exchanged the next two game, John jumping on the hill first with Walt winning the next game to even up the set. John found the final 8 ball win in game 7 to take the set 4 games to 3 for Walt. John opened the 9 Ball Set winning game one. Walt followed with a win in game two before John again got hot and nailed back to back wins to climb on the hill. Walt did not sit back and nailed two wins in a row to tie John on the hill at 3 games each. John again found the win in the rubber game #7 to win the set, 4 games to 3. The 10 Ball Set found John notch wins in games 1 and 2. Walt nailed wins in games 3 & 4. John finished the set winning the
final two games, 5 & 6. John wins the match, 15 to 8 for Walt in a tough match. Nice shooting by both players. Table #4 #8 Jim Vohs vs #4 Dave Javorski Dave came out hot nailing back to back wins to open up the 8 Ball Set. It was all Jim after that as he nailed wins in the next 4 games to win the set, 4 games to 2. Dave again came out fast nailing wins in the first three games in the 9 Ball Set with some nice shooting and decent safe plays. Again, Jim got hot and with some good shooting wins the next 4 games to win the 9 ball set , 4 games to 3. Jim continued to win games as he nailed the first two games of the 10 Ball Set to make it 6 games in a row. Dave posted a 5-10 combination to shorted game 3 to slow Jim down a bit. Jim finished the set off with back to back wins in games 4 & 5. Jim wins the match, 15 to 6 for Dave. Good effort by Dave and nice shooting by Jim. We welcome Jim to League 27. Table #5 #1 Todd Cook vs #6 Ray Ressler Ray started with a win in game one of the 8 Ball Set and then seemed to go cold. Meanwhile Todd played some nice shots and kept Ray off the table most of the set winning the next 3 games. In game 4 Ray nailed an 8 ball on the break but failed to win the game. Ray found a win in game 5 and then watched his chances disappear as Todd nailed a win in game 6 for the set win. Ray opened the 9 Ball Set winning the first two games. The first one was a 3-9 quick win for Ray. It was all Todd after that as Todd nailed a 7-9 combo to win game 3 and then coasted through the next three games with some nice shooting and some decent safe play. Todd wins the set, 4 games to 2 for Ray. Ray again came out quick nailing wins in the first two games of the 10 Ball Set, which included a 7-10 combo in game 2. Todd again got hot nailing wins in the next three games to take the lead. Todd shortened game 5 with a 1-10 combo to get on the hill. Ray seemed to find a little of his eye back as he held off Todd to win the final two games to win the set, 4 games to 3 for Todd. Gary Loverde and Mike Bates will have to make up their match that they missed last week. Welcome all to the league.

ONLY ONE PLAYER TOOK ALL 15 POINTS OUT OF 10 MATCHES LAST WEEK AT DAVE & BUSTERS IN WEEK # 5 ~ NICE SHOOTING OMAR DEMARA Table #1: #8 Wayne Brill vs #5 Walt Wnuk This was one of several close matches in last weeks league play. Wayne and Walt went back and forth with Wayne leading the way winning all the odd number of games with Walt winning the even numbered games. With both on the hill, Walt found a way to contain Wayne and take the odd number game 7 and the 8 Ball Set, 4 games to 3. Walt continued to play decent and opened up the 9 Ball Set winning game one. Wayne nailed a win in game 2 and then seemed to get bit by the dreaded combination shots to shorten up the next three games. Walt made quick work of game #3 with a 2-9 combination. The combo’s continued to come for Walt as he posted a 3-9 combo in game 4. I guess three is a charm as Walt nailed his third combo in a row in game 5 to close out the set 4 games to 1 for Wayne. The 10 Ball Set saw both players again go back and forth in the set. Wayne nailed the win in the first game and then watched Walt post back to back wins in games 2 and 3. Wayne came right back winning game 4. Wayne won game 5 and Walt found a 2-10 combination to get on the hill with Wayne. Wayne then got his chance and nailed the win in game 7 to win the set, 4 games to 3. Walt hangs on to win the match 13 points to 9 for Wayne in a very good match. Nice shooting by both players. Table #2: #17 Kent Jenkins vs #15 Mike Jernigan Mike J continues to play well and came out quick against Kent in the 8 Ball Set, winning the first three games. With some nice shooting, Kent cooled Mike off some, nailing back to back wins in games #4 & #5. Mike came back and won game 6 to win the set 4 games to 2 for Kent. The 9 Ball Set looked like a mirror image of the 8 ball set. Mike again played some nice shots and good safes to keep Kent out of the win column in the set for the first three games. Kent again found a way to get back into the set winning games #4 & #5 to close the gap to one game. Mike again got the opening from Kent to close out the set with a win in game 6 and a 4 games to 2 set win. The 10 Ball Set saw Kent find his eye and get back into the match. Both players went back and forth as Mike won game 1, 3 and 6 to the get on the hill after Kent won games 2, and back to back wins in games 4 & 5 to get to the hill. It was Kent this time that found the magic number, 7, to win the set, 4 games to 3. Mike wins the match with a 13 point to 9 points for Kent. Nice shooting by both players in another close match. Table #3: #18 Peter Ramonat vs #14 Dave Evans Dave Evans got off to a good start nailing back to back wins in the first two games of the 8 Ball Set. Peter nailed a win in game 3 as Dave posted a win in game 4 to get on the hill. Peter won game 5 but Dave nailed the win in game 6 to win the set, 4 games to 2. Peter turned the tables on Dave in the 9 Ball Set as he opened with back to back wins. Dave came right back
and nailed back to back wins in games 3 & 4. Games 5 and 6 went to Peter as he tied up at 7 points each. Dave came right back in the 10 Ball Set nailing wins in the first three games he and Peter played. Peter then made his move, nailing a 5-10 combination in game 4, and not stopping until he won the next three games to finish off Dave in the set. Peter wins the match, 12 points to 10 points for Dave Evans. Good shooting by both players in a very close match. Table #4: #19 Mike Bates vs #13 Jim Pellerito Mike B started with a win in game 1 and kept Jim at bay most of the 8 Ball Set. Mike finished off Jim with 4 straight wins to win 4 games to 0. The 9 Ball Set found Jim open up the set with a win in game 1. Mike won game 2 and nailed a win in game 3 as well. Jim came back and won game 4. Mike climbed on the hill winning game 5. Jim found his eye and nailed back to back wins to win the set 4 games to 3 for Mike B. Mike B opened up the 10 Ball Set nailing a 2-10 combination to win the first game and followed up winning game 2. Jim won game three and then stalled. Mike continued his sharp eye and won the next two games to close out the set, 4 games to 1. Mike wins the match 13 to 6 for Jim. Nice effort by Jim and nice shooting by Mike B. Table 5: #20 Joe Lopiccola vs #12 Jaret Wilson Joe opened his match with Jaret nailing a win in the 8 Ball Set in game 1. Jaret matched him winning game 2. It was all Joe for the rest of the set as he nailed wins in the next three games to finish off the set 4 games to 1. Joe remained hot in the 9 Ball Set nailing wins in the first 3 games of the set. Jaret snuck in a win in game 4 but could not contain Joe and watched his chance evaporate as Joe nailed the win in game 5 to win the set, 4 games to 1. Jaret seemed to find his stroke and opened up the 10 Ball Set steamrolling his way through the first 3 games to take a commanding lead in the set. Joe tried to get into the set as he nailed wins in games 4 and 5 to find himself 1 game back. Jaret shut the door with win in game 6 to finish off Joe 4 games to 2. Joe wins the match with 12 points to 7 points for Jaret. Good try by Jaret and nice shooting by Joe.

Table #6: #2 Omar Demara vs #11 John Killett Omar got off to a very good start as John seem to have his problems in the 8 Ball Set. As John was struggling, Omar took advantage of the misses by John as well as his good shooting ability to breeze through the set, 4 games to 0. John continued to stayed cold and found himself down in the 9 Ball Set as Omar continued his fine shooting to win all four games in the set to make it 8 straight games. Omar nailed the win in the 1st game of the 10 Ball Set to make it 9 straight. John finally put a stop to that as he won game 2. Omar and John exchanged the next two games to tie on the hill with John getting there first. John could not stop Omar as he posted a win in game 7 to win the final set, 4 games to 3. Nice effort to John and good shooting by Omar. Omar wins the match, 15 to 3 for John. Table #7: #3 Doug Johnson vs #10 Jake Richey Jake started his match with Doug winning the first game in the 8 Ball Set. Doug nailed a win in game 2 and did not stop winning games until he reached game 6 to finish off the set with a 4 games to 1 win. Jake could not get on the board in the 9 Ball Set as Doug started and finished the set with four straight wins to capture the second set. The 10 Ball Set saw Jake get his eye back as he nailed a win in game one. Doug posted a win in 2 and Jake nailed a 2-10 combination to win game 3. Doug won game 5 to get on the hill, looking to close out Jake and complete the sweep of the sets. Jake won game 6 to match Doug on the hill and nailed a win in game 7 to win the final set, 4 games to 3. Doug wins the match, 13 to 6 for Jake. Nice effort by Jake and nice shooting by Doug. Table #8: #4 Scott Kroll vs #9 Victor Francisco Victor continues to shoot well and came out fast against Scott, keeping him off the table long enough to nail wins in 4 games to take the 8 Ball Set, 4 games to 0 for Scott. It looked like a different Scott in the 9 Ball Set as he came out and nailed a win in the first game to stop Victors win streak at 4. Victor came back winning game 2 and then the opponents exchanged games 3, 4 5 & 6 as Scott gets to the hill first. Scott notched a 1-9 combo in game three to make that a very short game. Scott found the opening he needed and nailed a win in game 7 to take the 9 ball set, 4 games to 3. Victor did not let losing the previous set get to his game as he continued to focus and make good shots. He opened the 10 Ball Set with back to back wins. Scott again found a combination, this time a 1-10 combo to win the 3rd game of the set. Scott posted one more win in game 4 and then saw Victor nail back to back wins to finish off the set, 4 games to 2 for Scott. Victor wins the match, 13 to 7 for Scott. A valiant effort to Scott and nice shooting by Victor. Table #9: #16 Mike MacMahon vs #1 Ron Price This was another tough match between 2 accomplished pool players. Mike M started the 8 Ball Set winning the first two games. Ron came right back and nailed wins in games 3 and 4. Mike climbed on the hill winning game 5. Ron fought back nailing a win in game 6 to tie M&M on the hill. Mike found a win to prevail in the 8 ball set, winning 4 games to 3. Mike

Continued to shoot well opening with another back to back wins in the 9 Ball Set. Ron won game 3 and then watched his chances to get back into the set as Mike nailed back to back wins in games 4 & 5 to close out the set, 4 games to 1. Ron came out hot in the 10 Ball Set, nailing back to back wins to put Mike in the hole. Mike fought back and posted wins in the next three games to get to the hill, needing (1) more win to sweep all the sets. Ron turned it on, playing nice shots and some timely safes to hold Mike off and win the final two games and the set, 4 games to 3. Mike wins the match, 13 to 9 for Ron. Good shooting by both players in a very close match. Table #10: #6 Ray Ressler vs #7 Brandon Rayl Brandon started the 8 Ball Set winning game 1. Ray then seemed to get on track and posted wins in the next three games to get on the hill. Brandon came right back winning game 5. played some nice safes in #6 to win and won game 7 to close out the set, winning 4 games to 3 for Ray. Brandon notched a win in the 9 Ball Set and then stalled as Ray notched back to back wins in games 2 & 3. Brandon made a 9 ball to win game 4 and then watched Ray nail wins in the next two games to win the set, 4 games to 2. The 10 Ball Set saw Ray make some mistakes that gave Brandon some good opportunities for some quick wins in the set. Brandon nailed a 8-10 combination in game 1, and followed up with a 7-10 combo in game 2. Ray fought back and nailed wins in games 3 & 4 to tie Brandon at 2 games each. Brandon again got the opportunity to make a combo, this time a quicker win using the 3 to make the 10 that put him on the hill. Ray lost his chance to get back into the set as Brandon made some nice shots to win game 6 and the set, 4 games to 2. Brandon takes the match with 12 points to 10 points for Ray. Good try by Ray and nice shooting by Brandon.
