Orthodontic treatment; Some of the general risks Orthodontic treatment involves the straightening of teeth and correction of the bite. It can improve the appearance of the face and the teeth. It can improve the health of the teeth and the gums by making it easier to brush, and can make it easier to eat. However, as with many situations, there are associated risks of orthodontic treatment and indeed of not having treatment.

Injuries from Appliances
There may be some further risks with your treatment depending on your teeth and their positions. You will be fully informed of any potential risks that may be specific to your case at the treatment planning stage of your orthodontic journey. You will be given all of the information you will require to make a decision to either have or decline orthodontic treatment.
