2. GO AU NATURAL Lighting, that is. When it’s bright enough outside, turn off your CFL, and save even more energy by taking advantage of the beautiful natural lighting.
3. HANG-DRY Hang-drying clothes reduces the amount of energy and water we use with washers and dryers. Plus, your favorite shirt won’t shrink or lose color!
4. GO EASY ON THE WATER Turning off the water while you brush your teeth saves tons of water. If everyone did this, the US alone could save up to 1.5 billion gallons per day!
5. BIKE IT! Bike-riding is an excellent way to reduce pollution caused by cars and even public transportation. If your destination is two miles away or closer take a ride while you take in the outdoors.
