Nothing beats seeing it in person. Visit different types of campuses (urban vs. rural, large vs. small). Can’t make it to campus? Many colleges offer virtual tours or online sessions with admission counselors.

What Does It All Mean?

ROLLING ADMISSION: applications open all year with no deadline, non-binding decisions within a few weeks of completed application. *Some highdemand, competitive programs (such as LVC’s health professions majors) may suggest applying early for the best chance at admittance.

EARLY ACTION AND EARLY DECISION: early deadlines with admission decisions earlier in the process. Early decision is binding and should be used for your top college choice.

FAFSA: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid determines eligibility for federal and state grants and loans

TEST OPTIONAL: SAT/ACT scores are not required for acceptance, with admission decisions based on GPA, class rank, essay/personal statement, etc.

EARLY-LATE FALL

  • Apply to Colleges

  • Complete FAFSA (opens Oct. 1 each year)

WINTER

  • Receive admission decision and financial aid packages.

SPRING

  • Make a final campus visit to help with your decision.

  • Plan for financing (merit scholarship, federal/state grants, private loans).

  • Submit enrollment deposit by May 1.

SUMMER

Here’s the #1 thing we want you to know about the actual cost of an LVC education— it’s MUCH less than you think.

When we factor in merit scholarships and other financial aid, the average total expense was $24,899 for students who filed the FAFSA and demonstrated financial need—slightly more than half the listed tuition and fees.

Your merit award will include at least $26,000 in annual renewable scholarships guaranteed and could be as high as $34,000 per year.
