Travel information & on-site mobility TRAVELLING BY CAR Motorway stickers Travel on Austrian motorways is subject to a toll. You can buy toll stickers from border crossings, petrol stations, at tobacconists, from Austrian automobile clubs or from Lech Zürs Tourism. Tariffs € 9,00 for 10 days car motorway sticker € 26,20 for 2 months car motorway sticker € 87,30 for 1 year car motorway sticker Tips for travelling We advise those coming by car - especially on Saturdays - to time their arrival so they use the section of the road between Feldkirch and Lech or Imst before 9.30 am and after 2.00 pm. On the return journey the period between 10.30 am and 3.00 pm is the peak time for traffic jams. Tyres In winter you need to bear in mind that there will be snow on the roads and winter tyres are compulsory. You are also recommended to take snow chains with you. FLEXENBAHN Via the rough Ochsenboden ridge, Flexenbahn's modern gondolas take their guests from Alpe Rauz to ZĂźrs in a matter of six minutes.

R U N O F FA M E The 65-kilometre round trip with an elevation change of 18,000 metres starts at Rendl in St. Anton and leads skiers to Warth via ZĂźrs and back. Lech Festival Wine

Every year, Lech's restaurateurs and sommeliers select the "Lech Festival Wine" from the Lower Austrian Weinviertel for their guests. 2016, it marked the culmination of two special events: the meeting of the Badge of Honour wearers and the Arlberg Music Festival. Enjoyment and culinary cooperation have also linked Lech's partner locations Beaver Creek (USA), Kampen on Sylt (Germany) and Hakuba near Nagano (Japan) for over 20 years.

THE WINNING WINES The winning wines are determined by an independent jury in the categories Weinviertel DAC Green Veltliner and Zweigelt or red wine cuvée. The project is under the patronage of the Generali Winegrowers' Initiative Probus, in cooperation with the Regional Wine Committee Weinviertel and the Weinstraße Weinviertel. G R E E N V E LT L I N E R , A N A R O M AT I C A N D P E P P E R Y DRINKING PLEASURE The Lech Festival Wine – Weinviertel DAC – is closely linked to the Green Veltliner grape variety. The aromatic and peppery Weinviertel DAC is typical of the Weinviertel,

the largest wine-growing region in Austria. It is easily recognisable by its light-yellow to green-yellow colour and its peppery and aromatic, delicately fruity taste. DAC (Districtus Austriae Controllatus) indicates wine with a taste that is typical of the region and guarantees its origin.

Every year wowing the spectators with rare classics, the top-level participants gave to master some 625 kilometres from the Arlberg to Zugspitze mountain and back.

P H I LOS O P H I C U M L EC H Since its inception in 1997, Philosophicum Lech has established itself as an international centre for philosophic exchange. Surrounded by Lech’s mountains, its participants engage in immensely interesting debates and encounters revolving around the central issues of our time. LECHWEG Lechweg clearly shows how much the Lech River characterises this land: From its source close to Lake Formarin, it makes its way inexorably to Füssen in the southern Allgaeu region. When walking along Lechweg, long-distance hikers follow the course of the river and discover the most magnificent places of Europe’s last wild river landscape. TA N N B E R G W E G Tannberg used to be the name of the Wals judicial district which included Schröcken, Warth and Lech. And it’s this legacy one discovers when walking Tannbergweg. Partly negotiating narrow, high-Alpine paths, the experience trail leads hikers through the enticing nature and – in the course of 5 stations – introduces them to the sites, places of residence and fairy tales that have shaped the history of Wals.

DOORS Nine doors designed by artists from five countries: The art installation found along the Grüner Ring trail more than 2,000 metres above sea level showcases the boundaries in the landscape and opens up new space at the same time. GOLF 1,500 metres above sea level, Lech offers a 19-hectare playground to all those who passionately work on their handicap.
