PROBLEM
Audi’s original concern was the rate at which fixtures were failing in their showroom and the soaring maintenance costs associated with replacing the lamps.
SOLUTION
The existing 80 CDM fixtures were consuming a total of 77 Watts each. The solution was to replace the current fixture one-for-one with the custom designed eFFINION Track Head LED. Each of these fixtures consumes 38 Watts and has an average life span of 64,000 hours.

ESTIMATED RESULTS
By converting to LEDs, the lighting in the showroom dramatically improved, thus reducing dark areas and shadows. The new LED lighting lowered power consumption by 50.7% for each of the 80 fixtures. Also, since each fixture is estimated to last over 10 years before needing any further maintenance, the savings associated are substantial. With the combined reduction on both lighting energy and maintenance costs, Audi could achieve a savings of $199,331 over the life of the LED fixture.
