HE Don Vicente De Ybor Historic Inn located in Tampa, Fla. has a long rich heritage dating back to the 1920’s. The building was once the city’s Planning and Development office as well as a health care clinic prior to becoming an inn. A focal point in each of the rooms throughout the hotel is the custom built chandeliers. Using a total of 690 incandescent candelabras, these bulbs frequently failed, required constant maintenance and increased room temperatures due to the immense heat emitted. Owner Damon Shiver was looking to reduce operating expenses for the elegant 16 room boutique hotel, without sacrificing the inn’s historic charm. Lighting energy costs for the inn had risen to over $16,000 annually, causing Mr. Shiver to look for
