Give yourself a treat with some simple flavored water combinations. Take a pitcher and fill it with ice, water, and slices of fruit, veggies, and/or herbs. My favorite combination is sliced cucumbers and lime in a pitcher of chilled ice water. I had this during a Salsa Congress (convention) at the Doral Desert Princess Resort in Cathedral City, California. They would change out their combinations every day. Here are their typical water combos:
cucumber and lime grapefruit and orange orange and lime cucumber and rosemary grapefruit, lime, and orange
I make a large pitcher of flavored water, and as I take the water, I top off the pitcher with ice and water, keeping it very cool. The water lasts about two days. The Westin Hotel in the Emerald Shapery Center in San Diego also has flavored water in their lobby at all times. Here are some of their combinations:
grapefruit cantaloupe orange pineapple honeydew
Flavored water can dress up any dining experience and delight your guests with an unexpected refreshment. Let your imagination be your guide. Try some of these combinations or some combos that the flavored water companies are using like: lemongrass mint vanilla, lavender mint, raspberry, peach-mango, or strawberry kiwi. Use natural or artificial flavors, herbs, and sweeteners to filtered water. These combinations would also work well with mineral water or club soda. If you have a sweet tooth, sweeten as needed.
